Hi, Bobbi. Spent the day at home in my pajamas since I was let go at the subdivision. It was heavenly. I rested, cleaned, and a couple of guys who were in the neighborhood to clean my neighbor's gutters cleaned mine for $50. I have a two story house on a basement, so that was two rounds of gutters with the second round being quite high up there. It looks great, and I feel inspired to get the rest of my yard in shape!

I was also at Salon dot com, which I read daily. There is a columnist there that I enjoy reading, and the Letters section after the article is often even more interesting. Today I signed on and posted a letter for the first time.

eHarmony is awful. Can you imagine that as an animal lover/rescuer, I was matched constantly to hunters? When I complained about this, eH responded that hunting is a HOBBY and therefore doesn't matter, unlike the 29 Delusions-er, Dimensions. I read several books a week and live in a book-filled home, yet I was matched with men who listed the number of books they read last YEAR as 0-3.
I was matched with a cable guy who used his wedding picture with the bride cut out as his eH photo, a man who weighed about 700 pounds and had an Elvis hairstyle and enormous man-boobs, and men who posted pictures of their sad-eyed children. (HELP US) -

Oh yes, I do have dryer issues! I got stuck behind it earlier. I was SO upset. See, I was cleaning the laundry room and pulled out the dryer to inspect the possible hole in the hose due to the cat I am babysitting. She has been going back there hiding. Well, I was right... there was a big hole. SO, I called the local hardwear store to see how late they were open. Had to rush out there. Got a new hose and pushed the dryer out to hook it up. Then ,I pulled it closer to the wall toward me, so the vent thing wouldn't get stuck. The door has been broken for years so of course opened when I pulled the dryer back towards me. The door hit the step stool I was using to keep the door closed so it wouldn't break. So the dryer couldn't be pushed out further, so I could get out! Oh, how I hate this domino effect stuff. I know it's my own stupid fault. I was ticked because I am here alone and was stuck. I screamed AHHHHHH..... Then I started to try to climb out, no way... I thought of what I could do being so ticked, I couldn't think. Oh course my back hurts and right rib so that doesn't help!!! URGGG...... I finally figured out to grab the detergent bottle and step on that, (I was barefoot) and got myself up enough to get on the dryer. I felt like a super beached whale. I am not fat anymore due to my over-active thyroid.... But, not in very good shape. I pulled myself up on my stomach and slid down enough to grab the stool, and pull the door back up. Then I think I pulled myself up on the washer and down the other side onto the step stool. Thank goodness I was lazy and didn't clean off the top of the washer. Then their were detergent bottlews there. Ouch.. do I ever hurt all over. I will be sore tomorrow. Then I bent over to pick up something and my right rib starts hurting bad. Gee....

oops I staff to chucky at Catwoman. How's it going? Took advice about lookinbg for rental shares with single /older moms. A few possibilities but not many. Plus lots of guys looking for male roomies. ugh! the search. I am currently looking at places opening up for end of december beginning of Jan. Hope all works out.

bumblebee, ok sorry but had to laugh reading the saga of the dryer issues! I have done things like that, especially with having only 4 four-legged critters around that will not assist when I do things like that. The only thing they do is wonder, how is she going to get out of whatever mess she is in, go to work & bring home money so WE can EAT! You know in my house, someone HAS to WORK and it surely isn't any of them, lol. Glad that you got out though, even with the climbing of Mt. Everest (or so it seems) to do it. Ange, try putting in an ad yourself for wanting to share/rent a room/apt with someone. Or try even putting it on www.craigslist.com (can't remember if that is the right website). Sometimes ppl don't think of it themselves until they see that someone is looking to share a house/rent a room. Also, catwoman is the one with the visual of man-boobs....that thought alone would scare the living h**l out of me, lol!
