  8. I think so too, KW, all things happen for a reason, this one I can't quite get a handle on, but give my thoughts to God and know there is a reason, whatever it may be. We are very happy with the wedding, they do love each other, most of the time! and praying that it will all work out. Even now, with her Mama be pregnant, Nikki has to get away, and she comes here as her "time out"! Too funny, but she comes here, relaxes and just gets away from the stress she is feeling. We are blessed to have her know that she came come her and relax and go home to face life again. So many children don't have that. So for that we are happy to help.

  23. Roxy is a cat who was dropped off at a kill shelter by her family that was moving and could not keep her. She is several years old and had been well cared for. The family dropped off her carrier, a fancy cat bed and a pink litter box. She was close to being euthanized when someone posted a story about her. Terri fell in love with her after seeing the news story and video that was posted with it. She offered to adopt her but is hundreds of miles from the shelter. A plan was hatched among TDKers to have Bellantara pick Roxy up from the shelter and take her to CW who would foster her until flying (with Roxy) to Florida this weekend. Rubia was going to pick CW and Roxy up from the airport and deliver her to Terri and John. It was a beautiful example of how the TDK family pulls together and gets great things done. Happily but at the same time sadly, someone else adopted Roxy from the shelter about 12 hours before Bellantara went to get her.

  25. KW, I am surprised what Nikki tells us and how she acts with us. She sleeps with her Grammy when she is here and I sleep on the couch. I would never take that from her But she will come out at night after she thinks Kay is asleep and spend time with me and pick my brain about things she would not ask her grammy about, kinda funny, but that's the dynamics of the relationships. I love the child and would protect her with my life as her grammy would. I am just so glad she is comfortable in the relationship and loves us both.
