I remember KW sending you a lighthouse calendar. I AM NOT rolling my eyes (rolling eyes). Sounds very cute.... How loud IS the cushion?

Not really sure KW. Had childhood exposure to a poem based on a true event:
http://www.potw.org/archive/potw230.html
Also a Moomin story by Tove Jannsson that involved a lighthouse.
Otherwise a Freudian would say I have latent p***s envy!

Hear that Bobbi? No? Not loud enough then.

LOL. I thought KW sent you a calendar because she liked you more than me...

Bye KK, Have a great day.
Let's see KW. I'm into art, cats, puzzles (jigsaw AND crossword), cats, and horses, and cats. Did I mention cats???
But I was just kidding KW....

OK, a calendar that shows a puzzle with artistically rendered cats and horses. I'll be on the lookout for it!! lol
I know you were giving me grief, Bobbi!!

You would be surprised how many cat puzzles there are.
And I prefer them to be 1000 pieces or more.

I wish we could. We've really overextended ourselves on vacation planning with the cruise this summer and two other vacation trips here in Oregon. It would be fun to meet you in person. :D

I used to buy 1000+ piece puzzles during the holidays for the kids and I to put together during their break. We put many puzzles together. It was always fun. I haven't gotten a puzzle out in a few years. My son will still work on one with me.
How do you keep your cats away from it when you are working on it?

I have these large flat film boxes (which they rarely make any more). I work them in the box and just cover them in between times.
Before that, I would work them on the dining room table (back when I had a dining room), and throw a table cloth over it.
When we ate at the table, you had to be careful where you set your glass of whatever... LOLPosted 4 years ago by artistabobbi TX 1/17 #

We really do have a dining room, we just don't use it as one...

LOL
My sister in Vancouver, WA and her family are avid puzzlers. They get 8000+ piece puzzles and work on them for months. When finished they glue the pieces in place and hang the finished work on the walls in their garage. They have quite a collection.

I'm getting tired so I'm going to call it a night. Hope your ad with the cr@@py logo turned out OK.

I've never worked one over 2500. I've seen really big ones for sale. I get several jigsaw catalogs and occasionally order from them.
Yeah, I finished it.
You have a good evening, and give hubby a hug from me.

evening everyone, trying to read the back threads before attempting to sleep for the evening....love to look at puzzles, never had the patience to put together the ones of 1,000 pieces or more...those that do have my admiration :) Well back to reading for a min or two before heading to the bedroom..

It's 11.44 p.m., seeing that the room is quiet, the hour is late. . . let the closing begin gratis Moonshadow, LV, & Tigger begin....good job everyone & bless you...
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows open for the southern hemisphere TDKers ,and shut tight for the northern hemisphere TDKers.Goodnight to all the imaginary friends in TDK land, g'night Janet (hope the tooth feels better soon), goodnight Erin and Jimmy. White energy for all those in need. And let us treat the world gently this day.
And one last note, for those flying for the Florida meet, remember to remove all metallic objects (i.e., nipple rings, other body adornments) from various body parts before walking thru metal detectors in the airports......

Goodnight Deb, hope you sleep deeply and long. I'm heading to bed early tonight, my toothache has got the better of me, I'm taking painkillers and laying my head down on my wonderfully scented pillow. See you tomorrow.
