  11. You guys are so cute...especially Sharon in Austell! There was a video on Youtube amongst the cute "pet and animal" videos that captured my attention--it was supposedly about the poor treatment of animals in China. When I viewed it, I realized it was really just a vile, voyeuristic slasher film that offered no solution to the lack of animal rights in China. It was barbaric--images I wish I had not seen. I flagged it as inappropriate, but also wrote an email to Youtube. Here is the written response I received earlier today:

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your email.

    We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. I
    have reviewed
    the video and the appropriate action has been taken.

    We rely on our community to police the site and "flag"
    videos deemed
    inappropriate based on our Terms of Use
    (http://uk.youtube.com/t/terms).

  22. It really was no big deal, everyone... really. But I appreciate how kind you are. I'm sure all of us would do the same thing.

    Sharon--the video showed a bunch of different incidents--different people with different animals--all spliced together. Most of the time there was no focus on the human--just the animal.

  24. Sad that someone would post something like that just for the shock value. You Tube can be a fun place with cute songs and fun videos, but it also has such a dark side. It is also a place where teenage girls would beat up a classmate so that they could post it, a place where people deliberately mislable shock videos to lure the unsuspecting and a place where people who are apparently sick would give the shock a 5.

    Man the grey weather is making me introspective and moody apparently.

  26. How about a nice mega size bar of chocolate? If there is room in the closet, I would like to come in as well. When I was still living with husband, I had a walk in closet that Sylvester liked to go sit in. Sometimes when I was very upset at husband or other things, I would go sit in there with Sylvester with the door closed and the light on. I would cuddle with Sylvester for about 15 minutes or so and would sometimes feel better after doing that. I think we all need a closet to go hide in for 15 minutes.

  27. All the responses here make me think of a shirt I seen. It was a light pink shirt with a kitten on it. It said, Save this planet...it is the only one with kittens on it!
    I agree, there is no place for trashy videos, except in the garbage.
