  1. I just managed to map my domain name for a new website I am launching.

    http://www.teddyatcenterline.com/

It is about Ted (my horse) and training. I know it won't interest that many here, but if you have cats, it must mean you have friends with horses (OH, SURE!) Please let your horsey friends know :) By the way, Ted is not running for president. Elizabeth

  2. I love horses---and all animals. Ted is beautiful! I would love to have horses someday.

  3. We have four horses, and I love them all dearly. We don't do dressage--mostly western and backyard riding. They are a lot of work, but it is so worth it to be able to look out your kitchen window and see your horse in the pasture.

  4. I too love all animals..As a young girl I dreamed of once having a horse. Ted is beautiful and I'm so happy this stone was discovered and removed. Wow! How much better he must feel!!!! Thanks for this Happy Ted Report and give Cato some chin scritches and headbonks for me!

  5. Ouize--I would think that would be so relaxing. What a beautiful sight to see.

  6. Amen!! I agree Dee! Ouise..you're truly blessed!

Elizabeth..being in wine country makes you double blessed!! So beautiful to live there and to have your wonderful pets there with you! My son lives in the back yard of the trout farm there. Lucky, lucky, lucky!!!

  7. Elizabeth...we had a horse while growing up(her name was Babe). She was beautiful. She also had the most beautiful little baby(her name was Angel). I'd never seen a pony just born until Angel came along. She had one brown eye & one Blue eye.

  8. You were so lucky to have experienced that Susie...It all happened after I left home and married...Whaaaaaa!! I'm happy that you were able to witness such a beauty though!

  9. The only problem was that I was & still am so frightened of the gigantic size of horses that unless Marsha was there to keep control of Babe,I would never get near her. Little Angel was another story tho. She was such a happy little thing that while mama Babe was being brushed,Angel would rush back & forth in play. It was so cute to watch.

  10. Elizabeth, that was interesting to read, forwarded it onto a friend of mine who has 4 horses. Didn't know if she had heard of this happening and knowledge can't be a bad thing when it comes to their health.

  11. Thanks for the nice compliments! I've just been to Palo Alto and back (today) for a job interview, so may not live in wine country much longer. GOD I NEED A JOB! Teddy didn't have the stone, my friend's horse did. Happy is his name and we were all thrilled when it was removed. He suffered from a mysterious malady for about a year and we were all afraid he had stomach cancer. So glad he didn't. I have a video I am going to publish tomorrow. Ted actually lives at a barn in Sonoma where I board, so I just have Cato living with me :) He's enough for anyone AND I would hate for Ted to meet Cato, there might be a fight :) Thanks again for your nice words, Elizabeth

  12. Good Luck Elizabeth w/the possible job. I have to tell you tho,I'm real familiar w/Calistoga & I can't think of a more beautiful place to live in California. I don't think I could be as brave as you & move from such a piece of God's green earth, even for a job. I wish you all the luck in the world.

  13. Susie, the reality is there are no jobs in "God's green earth." One either has to have world class wealth or be a Mexican national to find a job. Believe me I don't want to move. Have actually broken down and cried about it, but I need to pay for Cato's run for the presidency! Elizabeth

  14. So...you never heard back from Dr. Phil? Poor Cato being dissed by Dr. Phil like that. When my sister lived in Calistoga, she worked for awhile at the Mondavi winery there. She liked it there for awhile. I do understand tho that sometimes you have to step out of the comfort zone to attain the necessities of everyday life. Again,I'll think lots of positive for you that the right situation & decision comes along for you. Your a good person & deserve to have good things happen for you.

    BTW...we have lots of horse,sheep,goats,miniature ponies,pigs,etc. in my neck of the woods here. I know a couple of good horse boarders as well. If your ever in little Manteca,check out our town. The surrounding cities also have lots of employment opportunities. {{{HUGS}}}

  15. Susie, funny you should ask about Dr. Phil......his producer did call....I was surprised as I had sent photos to the screener who initially contacted me. By photos I mean the ones of Cato holding a martini, etc. I thought it very clear that I was having fun. And then the producer called.....what a temptation to bring my "spoiled son" onto the show. I think they were very excited about his impending run for the presidency......I can see the whole thing now. In short, a Siamese cat is not as "good" as a real son. Cato cried when I told him. He is in therapy as we speak. Do you see now why it is I have so much trouble finding a job? My mother says I live in another world. :) Elizabeth

  16. That's funny...Even if the show was to ask you on,I can see Dr. Phil try to pick apart your brain as to why you would enter little Cato into the presidential race. These days we can't rely on hardly anyone in office, but,we can truly rely on our furr babies for unconditional love & attention. Our government could learn alot by hiring on animals into office. lol

  17. Haha! Elizabeth...I even submitted my recommendation to Dr.Phil but alas...so it goes...Tell Cato he's in my thoughts..Tell him that some talk show hosts just have no class at all!
