bumblebee, my thyroid is shot to all h**l according to the tests they have done so far, been taking synthroid for the last two years and went for a check-up because I thought the meds had quit again. They may have and now I have to have more testing done thru nuclear meds imaging. I normally keep notes on ppl too, that way I don't feel like a ditz when I forget things about ppl.

artistabobbi, won't know until they are done with everything. I saw the first ultrasound, which took an hour by the way, of my throat and it didn't look very good at all. Surprised that the tech even commented on it, but just waiting to see what they find out. There are stronger meds out there then the normal synthroid and I suppose that would depend on the end result. I just didn't know all the things that the they thyroid affects.

I was going to ask you what kind of symtoms you have. My dr checks mine once a year at my physical. Because I am diabetic, she checks everything.

aristabobbi, lot of diff symptoms, mine are or have been really dry skin, hair falling out more than usual, weight gain, I get really irritable easily...my biggies are the first two because that is not normal for me. There are other symptoms but can't remember the list right now. I had went in because of the symptoms and a cough that I couldn't get rid of, all pointed to the thyroid. Guess it affects the bp also, and can cause a cough also in some cases.

aristabobbi, its good that your doc checks...guess everyone has dropped off for the evening, so should go too I suppose, turn out the lights and shut the door so the kits don't get out
