  1. Question, Are we missing any regular posters, I haven't seen JanetEllijay of GA for some time, perhaps she is here under a new name. Anyone know? Am a bit worried as she wasn't well last time I saw her post.

  2. I was thinking that I had not seen Susan from Kennesaw, GA lately. I confess that I have not been able to keep up with all the posts under all the different topics lately - I've been very busy at work. And then, today's kitten is from Kennesaw. I had already been wondering about Susan, but I would have thought that today's kitten would have raised a comment! >>Susan - are you OK?

  3. Janet Ellijay posted a few days ago under GIVE IT UP, and we're having lunch together tomorrow (Friday). I'll tell her she is missed.

According to Sharon in Austell, Susan lives alone, and Sharon was worried about her, so she contacted her family and they said her computer was down. Seems like a long time for a computer to be down, but don't know her financial situation. Maybe if Sharon sees this, she'll give us an update. Come to think of it, she hasn't posted much lately, either.

  4. Jo, thanks for that, I noticed her missing because we share the same name and birthday.

  5. How interesting, Moonshadow! Janet and I met here at TDK, and since Ellijay is only 45 minutes from Blairsville in the Georgia mountains, we have become good friends! Thanks for sharing that.

Q: Do you know what the odds are of you and another person having a birthday
on the same day of the year?

    A: 1 in 365!

  6. I don't recall seing Kittypaw for a while, either.

  7. Yes, Great Dane, I noticed that, too. As a matter of fact when "Tigerpaw" first introduced himself, I confused him with Kittypaw, then later realized it was a different name.

  8. Also Missy, Gimpy's mommy.

  9. Sorry, guys, half of my team at work is missing and we've been nailed to the walls with calls. Today is the first day I've had a moment for catching up. Susan's computer is still down. I'll try to call her this weekend. I miss her too. I still manage to vote for Gimpy, Redford and Bob everyday because they are on my computer's "favorites" list.

  10. Glad to hear from you, Sharon! Sorry work is so hectic right now. Is there any relief in sight?

  11. Haven't heard from Sandi from MT for several days (fire in her trailer). Hope she is getting along ok with repairs and will be back with us soon.

  12. Maybe if it's something with Susan's computer that needs to be replaced we can chip in to get it done.

  13. Excellent idea, Instinct. Even if you are German American.

  14. Jo, lol 'even if you are German American'??? I am a mutt (danish, norwegian, irish, scottish, & cherokee) so how does that fit....I am j/k you know ;P

  15. AZDEB -- go to the postings under 'The complicated measure of being Hispanic in America' and you'll understand the joke!

  16. Yay, AZdeb, you're a fellow Dane!!!

  17. Do you know who we've missed hearing from lately-Christine, Ben's wife.
I know she was pregnant, and taking a leave from work, but did anybody know when she was due? Wonder if she had her "little Ben"?

  18. Jo, I broke the odds. I have a friend who has the same first and middle name as me and her birthday is the same day as mine as well as another Janet with the same birthday. Janet is not a common name either, but for me it's a family name that has been passed down. I didn't pass it on to my girls because having red hair was enough to be teased about, let alone an uncommon name.

  20. Also, where has Catman been? (I think that was his handle, apologise if not).

Posted 4 years ago by paulajeanne #

  21. I am worried about Christine and think of her often. Hope she pops back in and updates us.

  22. paulajeanneMT...Do you mean CatWrangler? I haven't seen him post for awile either

Posted 4 years ago by feral #

  23. Him too, but I was thinking of Chuck, CrazyCatMan from AR? Unless he's on here under a different name?

Posted 4 years ago by paulajeanne #

  24. If anyone hears from Christine, please let me know. Thanks

  25. Jo, actually I did read it, I just have a warped sense of humour >^..^<

Great Dane, yep at least partially Dane...my aunt used to try and get me to go with her on vacations there and Norway, but the Norway trip took too long for a kid who had no sense (dumb me, can you believe that)...it was fly in, take a train, and then take a boat or ferry to the fjord where the family was from. If only we could take time back, but like they say hindsight is 20-20

  26. I'm here..biz has been busy and this has been a pretty bad month emotionally, only divorced a little over a year this month would have been 23. Anyway I'm ok. Thanks for wondering about me.

  27. **{{Hugs}}** to Crazycatman

  28. Crazycatman, good to hear from you! I saw your comments on the main site and hoped you would wander over here!

Posted 4 years ago by paulajeanne #

  29. Big supportive hug Crazycatman. Divorce is hard... having been through 2, I still think of things on the anniversaries and count how many years it may have been.

The funniest/strangest thing about my 2nd ex... he claimed to always hate cats. Never could i have one. Guess who now has a cat ?!?! Un huh.. same guy who claims to hate them. Oh well. His communication skills still stink... LOL

  30. Hang in there, Catman. I was close to my 20th anniversary when I found myself suddenly divorced. It's been a few years and I'm starting to do better. Even my ex is amazed that I went and got my real estate license, work two jobs and have managed to hold onto the house. I have been out on a few "let's meet for coffee" things but felt deeply uncomfortable; I haven't dated anyone in about 25 years and it feels very odd! Everyone tells me that I "need to put myself out there" and I reply, "No I do not." At least you guys understand when I say that I'd rather be home alone with my cats and a good book. To the rest of the world this sounds deeply wierd.
