   I've long questioned the wisdom, validity and integrity of today's advertsers in many areas. This article clearly establishes legitimate beefs with todays men and how they're portrayed.

   My cable company ran one ad that really irked me, just before they added a controversial channel to the expanded basic lineup. It was intended to tell people how to block channels they didn't want to see, and featured a girl about 8 years old informing her father that she and her mother would not allow him to watch the channels "they" had blocked. Now, am I mistaken, or isn't it supposed to be the mother and father deciding which channels the 8-year-old should watch?

   BTW, the "Monkey" ad has always been a favorite of mine, because it does depict a wonderful father-daughter relationship.
