   OMG only 32 pounds..I commend the Sheriff and the neighbor across the street..but the neighbor next door who was aware of this poor dogs suffering did nothing? but they sure jumped in there to get their faces on tv..

   Wow Dee..this man is truly innovative and tough as nails! He seems to have accomplished alot of great things within his realm of office. Other law officers everywhere could learn alot from him!
   On the video of the poor Irish Wolfhound...God Bless that poor dog..I hope he can fully recover and I have one question... The family interviewed who lives right next door, apparently observed the mistreatment of this dog for awhile..Why the heck didn't they report it sooner?

   Sheriff Arapio is tough on abusers of people and animals alike. I too wonder how the neighbors couldn't have noticed the dog's condition before? It takes more than a weekend for a large breed dog to get to that point, so sad and I hope that the dog recovers and finds a wonderful home to ultimately never want for anything in his life.

   Sheriff Arapio is a great sheriff if only for one reason alone. He doesn't care about anything but enforcing the law and locking up the crooks.

   He could give a crap less about 'social justice' or about 'rehabilitation'. That's not his job. His job is to catch crooks and lock them up. And gee, when you look at the crime rate since he has been Sheriff it has dropped even as the population has increased.

   Maybe every other police department in the nation should follow this example
