I am delighted to announce that as of April 7th, I have been working at a small law firm 18 miles from my home. Right now, I am working as a paralegal, but I expect that I will be working as an Attorney after a while. My hours are flexible. I work 9:00 to whenever. There have been a few days that I have worked until 5:00pm. So far I have taken Fridays off, but he has mentioned a couple of times "when you go full time". I really enjoy it.
The hours are definitely flexible. On the 14th, I still had to do my MO taxes and I said I was going to do them on my lunch hour. My boss said, Oh you can go home and do them if you want, you have flexible hours. I was delighted, surprised and shocked. I did leave and do them at home. He has told me twice that he really appreciates having me there. His wife, acts as secretary, and she gets my sense of humor. On Monday this week, he bought me lunch at Arbys and brought it back to the office.
My pay is decent and I am very happy. There are only 3 of us in the office. Well, there is a part time woman who comes in two days a week to help Linda organize the old files.
I am quite pleased with my new job. My boss continues to labor under the delusion that I am bright. LOL
