Good morning CM, Shelley I'm so sorry about your loss, it's always sad to go to those things, I don't do very well, overwhelming for me. Work kind of got in my way, don't know if your still on... I live in the Rio Grande Valley in New Mexico, the tree is a cottonwood. It's bark is real soft to touch and it seems to be oozing.

I looked around my place yesterday and it was a HUGE mess. I thought of cleaning up so I could relax better, but then I reminded myself it was my one day off and that I'm only ever home on Sundays and every night to sleep, so I figured I'll clean when I move out in a few months to a bigger place with hopefully enough room that piles of mess don't take over the place!! -
Good morning or afternoon all. Feeling very tired. I did a system recovery last night to see if I could fix my internet issue. I had saved all pertinent files, pictures and such to flash drives. Had to go and borrow a wire keyboard and mouse since I had to reload my drivers for the wireless keyboard and mouse. Mia wanted to chew on the cords and I had to chase her away, poor kitty (I gave her lots of love while the system was reloading the applications). I couldn't get the outlook email on the flash drive to download to the outlook on my computer so I just may keep it on the flash drive and go forward. By the way, this whole thing didn't help with my internet issue so I am now thinking it may be the ethernet card. I really don't want to go spend $700 on a new computer only to find I could have fixed the issue. Growl!
I stayed up till 12:30am and then up at 6am so only 5 1/2 hours of sleep (I need at least 8 hours of sleep to function well). I really wanted to call in sick but unfortunately my company lumps all time off into one paid time off and we only get three weeks of that anyways (should have at least six days of sick time in addition to three weeks of vacation, sheesh). My morning has started off with the admin who handles our time cards, repermanding me about how I did my time card. I told her I had an eye appt that I was making up the time. She had the nerve to tell me that I would have to take it as unpaid. I do not think so after I made up the time!!!! Growl!!!
So with my sleep deprevation and all, I am not in a good mood and it is Monday. Feel grouchy like a bear. Please send me a large mocha with baileys, eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon, and a glass of guava juice. Could I please start this day over or go and work from home? Pipe dreams, oh well.

Thank you CM for the breakfast. Yum! Well, what is strange is that last weekend I had internet connection for 20 hours and then it was gone by 4pm last Sunday. So I figured maybe it is a software issue or something which is why I decided to do the system reload. I even called Comcast earlier in the day yesterday and after talking with a tech for about 15 minutes and doing a few things such as unhooking the ethernet cable (between computer and modem) it was discovered that the modem didn't reset itself when the cable was unhooked. This made the tech mention that it could either be the cable, a software issue (a missing driver) or an ethernet card issue. So I will go and see about buying a new ethernet cable on the way home tonight and if that isn't the issue, will go and obtain recover disks for XP operations system and try that.

Unfortunately, only I can work on fixing the issue as no one else in my family would know what to do and my Mom who thinks she knows some about computers, would suggest taking it to a repair shop. When I was married, husband wouldn't have been able to fix the issue as he wouldn't have known what to do about it and would have left it to me to figure it all out. He grew up in a household where the mother took care of everything and the children didn't learn to do things for themselves or so it seemed from what little he told me about himself.

Cricketsmama, dirty martinis are vodka martinis, little bit of vermouth and a little bit of the brine from the green olives. The brine is what makes them "dirty".
Why is there no end to the dust in this house???? Could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that the wind blows every stinking day???
