Catherine, sorry you're feeling low and out of money, too. I had my Boss, who also pays me weekly, pay me for three weeks in advance when I got my car, and man, it's been rough! The gym pays me every two weeks, and I just finally got paid yesterday, so I had a couple of weeks where I had to wonder how I'd put gas in my car. At least my Boss will pay me again on Friday - just in time to spend the money on my rent!!!! Arrrgh!

Arrrrrrgh!
Boss' wife just called (he's in meetings in Miami) - "I may need you to pick Michelle up from school later - I'll call you back to confirm". Arrrrrrgh, I'm so tired of this crap! I went and walked her dogs twice on Friday - one during office hours and one after - and I even %$#%# washed her &^$%%$$ floor (she asked me - no told me - to clean up any accidents!) - I got no thank you, and not even money to cover gas! It's not that far from work, but I still drove about 20 miles doing that for her. It'll be the same today, I know.And I was just having a good day - now I'm all annoyed! :(
All day yesterday at the office I sat and thought how much I can't stand my office job and how much I'd like working at the gym full time. If I could wait at least a month or maybe two and still get the full-time position at the gym, I'd like to take it. For now, working both jobs makes it easier for me to pay off my brother. But Arrrrrrgh! -

Morning all! I have been quiet this week and will be for the next two because work is kicking into ultra high gear because of a huge fundraiser that I am working on. Oh well such is life!
Hugs to Catherine, i hope your day gets better. I work in the realm of non-profit so I KNOW what a tight budget is like. Onething I do is prowl the upscale consignment shops and look for nice bargains. I have found designer tops for $5.00! Sometimes if I see something I like but it is still a little too much, I'll keep coming back until it is reduced. Just a thought.
I'll take a boston creme donut and a big latte!

Hi Everyone! It's late afternoon here, so I've brought afternoon "tea" - all sorts of tea, coffee and fresh baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam! Help yourselves!
GD - you need to put your foot down with the Boss's wife! I don't know what your job description includes, but I doubt it includes running the wife's errands - especially when it involves driving such a long way. You need to ask for extra money for those things. Just say that, with the price of gas these days, you just can't afford to drive that extra distance! It is perfectly true, and you deserve to be reimbursed for your out-of-pocket expenses!

Hey GD, if you want I can tell Boss's wife that she needs not only to thank you for all you do but contribute to gas as well. Even if it isn't far, it adds up. Can you talk with boss about this. Maybe mentioning nicely that you like helping his wife but that what with your two jobs, tennis, dog-walking and workouts that you need "me" time and therefore cannot always be the person she calls for help. I really dislike people who take others for granted.
GD, your kitties sound so cute this morning. Mine woke me up around 4am with playing and running over me as they do from time to time.
There is a dove making a nest outside my bedroom window. The kitties are mesmerized by this dove. I look out the window and she looks back at us. So calming.
I forgot my breakfast this morning so I had a starbucks mocha (no whip cream as the Safeway Starbuck uses nasty tasting whip cream) and a chocolate cream covered donut bar. Oh my! The good thing is they are putting a gym in my building soon. Hope it won't too crowded as it is a small one.
Boss is out of the office today and tomorrow taking paid time off for something. He gave me a project before he left so that I am still working even though he isn't in. Darn!

Hi CW, Hooties Mama, and C and B's Mama as well as everyone else. I forgot to buy a lotto ticket on the way home last night. No one won the mega lotto so it is at $100 million now. I will try to buy one on the way home tonight or at lunchtime. I find I even just enjoy dreaming about what I would do if I won millions. I don't go and spend much more than $10 and usually only do that when the lottery is over $50 million or more.

The thing with Boss and wife is: when I took the job, the hours were supposed to be 9:00 to 4:30. Now with the job at the gym, it's 9:30 to 9:40 before I get in - but I try to stay until 5:00 to make up for it. Nevertheless, I feel bad about coming in late and feel as if I ought to do everything elase for them to make up for it. Unfortunately, though, Boss' wife is the kind of person who WILL take advantage of people, so I'll probably have to say something at some point if this continues. I wish it was August and I'd be done paying off my brother, be a few months into the gym job and better able to discern whether or not I should leave the office job to go fulltime there. Oh well - just a few months away

Hi Miu! There's coffee AND kittens! Haven't tried the Avatar yet.
&$%%## trainer guy just left me a message (actually two!) regarding getting a group of people together for the workouts at the tennis club. I'm just too stretched thin right now, to help him put this thing togeter and then I feel bad training with him for free and not doing anything in return! Arrrrgh! I wish h'd just work something out with my tennis pro friend without me having to get involved, but I don't think the pro is going to do this if I'm not there to push it.
I feel like just telling him to forget about the whole thing and then eventually when everything calms down a bit ask one of the other trainers to train me and pay them. I already know a bunch of stuff I can do by myself, but I'm not sure I'd be motivated enough to do it without a trainer. -
Hi C&B. Sammy and Oliver are just fine. I ordered a shutterfly book with their pics in it for their anniversary present to Bob and he loved it. It is the hit at the college. Now that I have seen it I think I want another one!!! LOL ...
