  2. Thank you all for your helpful advice. With my college age son coming home and the possibility of my oldest having to return home at some point, it's just not feasible anyway. If I had a separate bedroom/bath apart from the family it might work out, but we would all be on the same floor together. I don't think she would enjoy it too much herself.

  4. NO!!!!!! I also value my privacy. I took a second job rather than rent a room (my house is a 3-BR 2 Bath). I have friends who rented out rooms in their houses and it was always trouble.

  5. Wise decision to not rent out to your coworker, CW. With two boys in the house that makes three people and only two bathrooms and you have your own bathroom which leaves one bathroom for your two boys. If this woman has ever lived with a man, she wouldn't want to share the bathroom with your boys. I am not implying that all men are messy, just most of them.

  7. SMM, I was planning to have my boys share *my* bathroom and let her have her own. I would not wish sharing a bathroom with a male on anybody.

There is also a half bath downstairs. Right now only my 11 year old son and I live here, yet when there is splatter on the seat he INSISTS that it was not him! He says, "You did it!" Even after I point out why that is impossible, he stubbornly insists he did not do it.
