Ok, she's not really my daughter but she may as well be. She's my niece, but I've done alot as far as raising her and being there for her. Anyway, last night I was sitting on the couch when a text message came through on my cellphone. It said:
"Aunt K, turn over to ABC real quick, one of the bands you like - 'DEATH LEOPARD' - is on Dancing with the Stars." I didn't want to laugh at her, but I couldn't help myself. I'm laughing now just thinking about it.

Death Leopard? Sacralige!! I know what you mean thou, I've tried to raise my son well, teach him right from wrong and whatnot but when he starts listening to that hip hoppy rappy crap I just want to cry! Where did I go wrong???
At least the boy does appreciate Def Leopard so I guess there is hope after all.

My niece will listen to just about anything (just like her Aunt K) as long as it's decent. But then, she also listens to some stuff that I just can't stand. She loves EMO music, which I think is horrible. All those guys with their eyeliner and their crappy haircuts and their 'I'm so sad I'll cut myself' music is enough to drive a person insane. But yeah, she knows I love Def Leppard (one of my old DLs has me in the Union Jack shirt) so I'm glad she called me - they all looked well. Even if they WERE lip-synching. lol

My husband's parents once complained because he listened to "That Ted Zepplin" guy. I also have a good friend who used to be road manager for Pink Floyd. Her mom thought it was one guy named Pinky Floyd.

CM I had a friend who HATED Joe Elliott for some reason, and we could never get her to say why. *shrugs* Personally, I was partial to Rick Savage, but now that Vivian Campbell (who came from DIO and then went to Whitesnake) is there - all bets are off. lol

Vivian Campbell is the Irishman at Large!!! He IS better than Steven was. Now THAT was a sad story. Anybody ever seen the Def Lep movie on VH1? It was pretty good - I thought it would be pretty cheesy. Gawd I feel sooooo old.

I always thought Joe Elliot and Steven were the cuties in the band. Really sad about Steven. I haven't heard any of their music since Hysteria came out. I believe that is the cassette I own.

Def Leppard has new album coming out about April 28th or the first part of May. They are on tour right now, and have some concerts set up for this summer. I got their new album they had out last year or so. You can check out their website.
