  1. I have a step cat.The cats are my stepdads cat so there kinda my cats.when i first met them the boy cat(shadow) he would hiss to me growl and not sratch,but the girl one would rub her head in my legs and would let me carry her.Know Shadow likes me.but i just need help one thing. how can i make my cats get along with kittens becase they usully hiss and sratch kittens and i would have to yell at my kittens or they wont under stand but they still do it so ineed tips for they can like other cats....ps please send me tips becase i am planning to get kitten.

  2. it all takes time, some take longer than others, to begin with you need to keep them separated for a few days to a couple of weeks with them just smelling their scents under the door. You can also use Feliway products from PetSmart or PetCo and places like that to help calm the atmosphere down with the pheremones (?). There are others who will come and probably share all their experience of introducing new kits to older ones in the household.

  4. Here are some links to internet articles about introducing a new kitten to the resident cat(s). They all differ slightly but they all stress to take things SLOWLY.

    We have always had good luck by feeding the existing residents right outside the new kitten's door. They seem to accept a new one better when they know they won't be competing for food.
