   Good morning all,

   I was rudly awoken this morning at 2:00 am by my man friend Michael. He was in tears telling my that Shadow is gone! Apparently he opened a screen on the porch and jumped out from the second story window! Michael is totally beside himself with grief. For a man who will tell you he doesn't like cats and didn't want a cat to become totally unglued isn't a site anyone wants to see (especially at 2:00 am!)

   Please help send the TDK white light out for Michael and Shadow. Shadow needs to come home to his family. We are all just crushed right now. Shadow is as much my family now as is Michaels. He may have just shown up out of the blue but he is in our hearts now and he needs to come home.

   Deb, don't panic. Put a worn article of clothing outside and watch for Shadow. He will most likely return when he is tired and hungry. Sending prayers your way!

   Deb, hang in there. I have a feeling Shadow will be back; he knows where he can find food and a warm, dry place to sleep.

   I had to take precautions with Ernie, a feral cat, while he was being TNR'd here. He, too, pushed open a screen on a second story window and looked like he was giving serious consideration to jumping. Ernie's quite the athletic cat, too; I've no doubt he could have done so without incurring injury.

    I just spoke with Michael and he is just crushed. He and his sister Candy blame themselves and that hurts even more. I keep tring to tell them that this isn't that unusual and that if he found his way here several times before, he will be back. God I hate hearing the pain in his voice. That is why he said he didn't want a cat in the first place. He had a cat he was crazy about once before and it got out and then got killed in the road. He is having major flashbacks and it makes it hurt even more.

    Come home Shadow, Daddy misses you!!

    I can remember when Jerrie got out one night - my niece was living with me at the time and he got by her. I was SO upset! Of course he showed up in the middle of the night, after he got tired of roaming. He got out a few times after that too, but he never wandered far (usually over to the neighbors' garages to check things out). The funniest was when my nephew was over and sitting downstairs; he looked out the slider and there was a cat out there who... looked just like Jerrie. Oh, wait a minute...

    So get it out of your system, Shadow, and then go back home!

    I will keep Shadow in my thoughts. It is very likely that he is close by unless he was frightened by something. When Cato gets lost I walk up and down the street yelling for him. Sometimes it takes an hour or so and my neighbors get tired of my yelling, but eventually he comes. He usually is in the old lady next door's yard :) Elizabeth

    I am so sorry to hear that Shadow got out. He's probably just roaming around a bit. I will pray for his safety and that he returns home soon.
