NNM, I had the same thing happen with Sylvester. When I was still living with my husband, I recall one evening getting ready to go to bed around 10:00pm and not seeing Sylvester. I started looking everywhere and started to get frantic when I couldn't find him in the apartment. My husband asked what was wrong and I said I can't find Sylvester. I asked husband if he had let him out and he said no. So husband went out and combed a four block radius in one direction and I in the other direction. I came back home feeling very scared about Sylvester and what could happen to him outside. We have raccoons and possums and those critters can do a lot of damage to a cat. So I am now sitting in the living room trying not to fall apart and husband goes downstairs to get his laundry. This is when I notice that he doesn't close the door all the way. I ask him about it and he says he may have done that earlier. I said I bet that is how Sylvester had gotten out (all the screens were fastened securely). Anways, I guess Sylvester got tired of roaming and got hungry so he came home around 5am. He had been outside for seven hours.

Duchess got out this summer while I was at my sisters wedding in NM. The porch door in the master blew open and she took off (for 5 days) We all thought she was fox food, as they peruse the neighborhood looking for tasty morsels of bunny, squirrel and cats if they catch them. She came home, screaming at the front door with foxes eyeballing her....She has not done it since. She was hungry, thirsty and tired, but alive and unharmed. I'm sure he will be home soon.

Shadow, stop what you are doing and just think about your family. It might be fun out there but they are aching to have you back safely, so go home now and make sure you let them know you are sorry for worrying them. Positive vibes for the little tykes safe return.

OK. I've been there, got the tshirt. Remember my Boo who was missing for 5 days? All the TDKers behind her made her return home, much to my shock and happiness. And she had never been outside in her LIFE!
