  3. Howdy, linda! Has your weekend officially started?

  4. Well, I guess you could say that...I'm still at work but have been playing on TDK alot today, so haven't got much done. May have to work Sat cause got a deadline on May 7th...What are you up to this weekend...when do you leave on your trip?

  5. We will be leaving about noon on Sunday. Turns out we return on Tuesday instead of Wednesday as I thought. Still--any time out of town will be a nice change!

I hope you don't have to work tomorrow. Personally, I am in favor of three day weekends to recover fully from the work week!

  7. Good evening KW and Linda.
How is everyone this Friday night?

  8. there was a case here a couple weeks ago, where the suspects had been at large for a few months. Were on America's Most Wanted and were found in Oregon and the other in...Montana? or Wyoming? or Idaho? anyway, it was a really nasty crime against an Australian tourist. America's Most Wanted is very sucessful I guess.

  9. It can be stressful. This week was pretty high stress, but we muddled through it! I had several very high conflict cases in a row this week for some reason. We had to have sheriff's deputies walk through from time to time to make sure everyone behaved! (Our bailiffs are not sworn law enforcement and don't have weapons.) If someone goes off in the courtroom, I have a "panic button" at the bench. The deputies do their best to get there quickly to restore order. Keeps us on our toes!

  10. Hi cm! Did ya have to eat what you made or were you successful getting hubby to get a burger? :p

Posted 1 year ago by linda #

  11. Hi, CM!

America's Most Wanted is pretty successful. I think the suspect that was found in Oregon was actually found here in Eugene. Scary!

  12. Oh my god KW. That could be frightening if someone decided to turn on you. holy cow.
I couldn't do what you do. I think I would be heartsick at the cases that came before me and I know I couldn't be without bias.

  13. It looks like we are all invited to W&WM's house for dinner tonight. What a spread she prepared for her guests!!

CM, most people are very appropriate in court. They want me to look on them favorably. Only those that don't give a hoot about what happens to them or who have mental issues act out. Our staff is pretty good at getting a sense of the room before I come into court and we ask the deputies to make an appearance. The truly dangerous criminals are already in custody so there are deputies guarding them the entire time.

  14. Oh Linda..hubby didn't get me a burger..I made him eat the chicken paprikash and I had a hot dog with Maddie :)
I am in a weird mood tonight. kinda b--chy, snappy. Maybe I just need some down time.

  24. lol Linda...I've been around. Just having a craaazy schedule. Way scary

    Posted 1 year ago by AnimalLuvr82 #

  25. Hey KW, I've been okay. Just busy as usual. so far this week I've clocked over 50 hours and I still have one more day to go.

    Posted 1 year ago by AnimalLuvr82 #

  26. Wow, AL! Are you mostly working nights?

Posted 1 year ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  27. KW, since I'm too lazy to look it up, do polydactyls have multiple toes on front and back? or just front? or just back? or..? SMM's reference to a catchers mitt for the pic of Digit on the quilt made me think about it...

Posted 1 year ago by linda #

  28. It can vary, linda. Normal toe count is five on each of the front paws and four on each of the back paws. Digit has six on each paw. Furl has six on the front paws and five on the back paws. Some polydactyl cats have as many as nine toes. It is a dominant gene. Their paws are really cute. My two look like they have thumbs on the front paws. LOL

  29. it is VERY cute...don't you think it would happen more from an evolutionary standpoint? Wouldn't more claws = more prey? hmmmm

Posted 1 year ago by linda #

  30. KW, it varies. a few days this week I was working a 9-5 schedule, one day I worked 7:30-3:30 then came back 12am-7am, and so on and so forth..
