new wormhole entrance

(11 posts)
  1. Velvet and Spice are excited to hear that a new wormhole has opened in the city of Binghamton, NY

it will now allow them to enter the wormhole just outside their apartment and exit in front of the TDK Rollerskating Rink.

"Just think what this will do for our social life" thinks Spice. "Now we can go skating all the time with our friends"

"And go to the Mall too" says Velvet...

  5. "We can go through the new wormhole -- it's big enough -- and we can have sleepovers and go to the TDK Roller Rink and we can have Willow and Windi come for play dates and Grommie and Mac and Fred and Cricket and Shadz and Spice and Velvet and Clark and Bog and Tikka and Pipa and Huddy and EVERYONE can come over!"

When the lads finally took a breath, I told them it was fine with me, but they must check with me before going, there must be a Meowma on the premises wherever they go to, and they must call on their cell phones.

Also, I just stocked up on nip-tea, salmon cakes, and tuna snacks. The wormhole in my studio (the boys' play room) opens at regular intervals for guests.

    Any parties in mind? :)

  6. Ok, Lucy Belle has never been through the wormhole. Sounds like a dark and scary place. Can someone please explain the proper entry and exit procedure and what happens during transportation? Are we insured against wormy catastrophe? How long does it take to travel from point A to point B? Do we need a special spacesuit? Are meals being served? What about if we need to answer the call of nature? How many kitties can fit in the wormhole at once?

  7. From what I understand from Ruggles and Rotley, size is no problem and two kits can go at one time, since many of them like to hold paws. The worm hole is also big enough to allow a very large Maine Coon/Manx mix through the hole even when he is carrying a basket of biscotti and a thermos of French Roast vanilla coffee (Ruggie likes taking those to WWM when he and Rotley visit Willow and Windi.)

If only one kitty wants to go through the worm hole, that is fine, but they can cell phone a friend on the exit to escort the single kitty through the wormhole if there is any timidity. The trip is very quick, no meals are needed, and no spacesuits are required.

The wormhole is soft and swirling and filled with bright clouds and a lot of light -- not dark or scary at all -- and the boys love using it to get to Windi and Willow's home, and sometimes to the TDK Roller Rink.

As a matter of courtesy, the lads always bring gifts when going through to another location. From what I can see from various catalogs in my studio, my two are thinking about purchasing a deluxe litter box as a gift. Not sure what that is about.

And they always come back from their trips full of stories!

Also, I've noticed some worm hole activity with the kits and people who are grieving. Ruggles considers himself a "therapy cat," although Rotley says that he is the one with the "most soothing purrs."

Worm holes are very good things indeed!

  11. Well, I left home for one day to meet the TDK girls for lunch in Austin, and what happened? I got home and Mac and Grommie were gone!! GONE..... I looked high and low througout the house, and they just weren't home. Thankfully, they left me a quick note, and arrived back home soon after I found the note; both were very excited to tell me that a new worm hole had opened in Binghamton, NY, right outside Spice and Velvet's residence! Naturally, being so fond of the girls, they had to try it out as soon as they heard about it, even without specific permission from Meowma.... (ahrem, needless to say, we had a serious discussion about getting permission FIRST from now on...) At least they remembered their manners. Mac took a big bouquet of 'nip flowers, and a thermos of Baileys and coffee for Cheri, while Grommet put salmon cakes and tuna cookies into a tupperware container, and topped it with one of Meowma's "emergency" stick on bows. (She doesn't know how to tie the real ones - Meowma says it's something about not having an "opposable thumb", whatever that is.) So, while Meowma was on a little road trip to Austin, Mac and Grommie were on a little wormhole junket to visit with Spice and Velvet. My apologies to Cheri for the kits dropping in unannounced like that. They had a wonderful time, and are very excited about the new wormhole. Now Spice and Velvet will be able to go to the TDK skating rink even if mama Cheri can't take them. It will be so much more convenient for everyone, kits and furrparents both.
