it's party time !!!

Willow and Windi rush to the wormhole and try to remember Rubia's direction. Then their mama remembers that she can make a reservation for the girls to be picked up right at their condo.
Willow is dressed in a sundress that ties at the shoulders with big, puffy bowes. The dress has little green silk flowers sewn all over and a beautiful green ruffle at the hem. She unwisely took a bit of Superglue and stuck a matching green bow between her ears. She's wearing white patent leather Mary Jane shoes with green ankle socks. Willow is taking a huge bouquet of Texas bluebonnets to give to Cheri.
Windi was already dressed for casual Sunday and didn't really want to change. Besides, she thinks she looks kind of cool. She's wearing a "Rockhounds" baseball jersey, because that's the farm baseball team in her hometown. And she's got on demin cutoffs that she loves because she can chew at the ragged edge all she wants and she doesn't get scolded. She has on a "Keep Texas Beautiful" baseball cap, with the bill turned around to the back. Today she's wearing Reebok sneakers and anklet socks. She's got a softball in her pocket, just in case anyone wants to go outside and bat a ball around.
Windi has a leaf in her mouth that she pulled off of a dracena plant on the patio. She's very anxious to show her leaf to Ruggles because she's pretty sure that he'll be impressed to learn that she caught it herself.
WWM is sending the girls with a case of kitten food to put on the donation table. Now that the girls are one year old, they refuse to eat kitten food, but they know that there are other kitties who can use the food.
WWM has also entrusted Windi to take a bag of homemade chocolates that are made here in Midland, to give to everyone. She's hoping that they arrive still in the bag....
The wormhole opens and the girls shoot off for NY!

Grommet decided to wear her favorite sun dress perfect for an afternoon tea party, a pink flower print with lace trimmed short sleeves and a crisp white peter pan collar, with a white pinafore with ruffled edge down both sides of the bodice, and a big bow tie sash in the back over the dress. She selected her pink leather high heeled strappy sandals with the big pink leather roses over the toes and a wide brimmed natural straw hat trimmed with pink flowers and a pink growgrain ribbon around the brim with ribbon streamers down the back. I've got the cheesecake, crab dip, Baileys, Absolut, and goldfish crackers packed up and ready to go. We head straight through the wormhole to the Hoyt residence. Everyone is just starting to arrive and the scene is generalized, fun chaos. Kits are greeting kits, furrparents are greeting furrparents, and everyone is in a very festive mood. Cheri is guiding the throng, depending on what they've brought with them.. "The kitchen is that way," she tells those with goodies that need plating before serving, and "the buffet table is over there," she points, for those with ready to serve items. The food and drinks look and smell delicious and everyone happy. Spice and Velvet look lovely, as usual, and are greeting all their friends as they come thru the wormhole. "We have 'nip sodas and lots of snacks over by the buffet table," they tell their guests, and "feather toys and cat trees are in here, along with the stereo." As Mac glides thru the wormhole, Spice asks him if he will put some music on for everyone. "The stereo is in there," Spice tells him, please play something everyone will like." "Sure thing," Mac tells her as he leans over to give her a quick sandpaper kiss on her muzzle. "You look great," he whispers in her ear as he heads to the stereo to select some music. He spies Ruggles and Rotley across the room, and waves his paw, "hi, guys, come on over and help me choose some music to get this party going."

Willow dashes back home because she forgot the green chili quesadillas and the bottle of tequila that mama told her to take. She thinks that Rubia will like to sample some of each!
Okay, thank goodness for the wormhole express and she pops back into Cheri's house!

Kittymom realizes just as she arrives at Cheri's that she has forgotten the kitty food for the donation table. She gives Cheri a quick hug, takes her crab dip into the kitchen, unwraps it, and puts the goldfish crackers in a serving basket for the kits buffet table. She quickly heads back out, waving to Cheri, "I'll be right back, I forgot something." And scoots thru the wormhole.

Kittymom arrives back home and grabs the case of purina canned cat food and 2 cases of Fancy Feast cans ~ the salmon flavor and the tuna and whitefish flavor. She's feeling so good about the "donation table" concept that she also picks up a 20 lb. jug of kitty litter, and a new bag of small rubber kitty "golf ball" toys, and a bag of the small, furry catnip mice toys, too. Loaded down, she carefully heads back thru the wormhole to Cheri's house in New York....

Fred and Cricket know they are running late and are so embarrassed. Fred is wearing a pair of khaki docker pants with a nice dark blue polo shirt. Cricket is wearing a dark pink geometric cirle skirt with a light pink top. Fred is carrying can food, hard food and kitty litter for the shelter kitties. Cricket is bringing some crab cakes, salmon dip and crackers and some nip cheesecake for the party. Whoosh they are though the wormhole.
Fred puts the food and litter down with the other donations and goes over to say hi to Velvet and Spice.
Cricket sees Misu and runs over to her and give her a hug and kiss on the cheek. She sees Tikka and calls over to her and gives her a hug too.
All 3 then go say hi to Velvet and Spice.
Fred then goes over to dance with Misu and Juuei. Cricket runs to Grommmie and gives her a hug.
Their Meowmy has arrived, with some strawberry cheesecake, Baileys and some wine coolers for the party.Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

Velvet goes over to the stereo and turns it off for a few minutes...
"Spice and I would like to thank you for coming to our party. Now that we have a wormhole, we can be much more social and have more parties, and sleepovers, and be over to the roller rink more often...
And, dear friends, we are truly overwhelmed by your generosity in filling the donation table. Project Paw does not receive any funding and is run by a team of volunteers. Their director died a few years ago of a heart attack, and one of Cheri's coworkers, the husband of the director, took over the running of the shelter in addition to his full-time job.
The shelter will be very happy to receive your donations, I am sure..."
And now, back to the party !!!

Rubia has to pop back to the UK through the wormhole, but Tikka is having such a great time gossiping with all the girls and dancing, that she lets Tikka stay a little longer. She reminds Tikka not to stay too late (although tomorrow is a bank holiday in the UK, so its OK if she stays up a little later than normal), and then goes to thank Cheri for inviting Tikka, and to say goodbye. Tikka runs off with her friends to find the snack table and replenish her nip cocktail. They retreat to a corner where they can giggle and watch the boys.

Cricketsmama has to go to the store, so she gives Cheri a big hug and thanks her for the party. She tells the kitties that they can stay a while longer since they have a wormhole to come through.

Oh dear, I'm afraid we are late to the party! The girls did not want to wake up from their afternoon naps. Since we live near Holland, MI and the Tulip Festival begins this week, the girls are dressed in their Dutch costume dresses (complete with little wooden shoes). We are bringing smoked whitefish pate (for both cats and humans!) and Fancy Feast and litter for the shelter.
Nibs has discovered a new game, where she hides beind things and then pounces on her sisters when they walk by. Gem and Nora don't like this new game. Would any other kitties like to play?

Hahahaha! I love you guys...Parties...parties...parties! Don't your kits ever sleep??? Soooo much energy...wish I had it in me but I'm afraid my fingers can only take so much. Sounds like the kits are all having a wonderful time. *waving to all the little beauties at the party*
