  1. Bobby got a catnip plant - see the movie and a picture on his Catster page!

  2. Looks as thought he is going to eat the whole plant. Mia does the whole thing when I put the plant on the counter and am trying to pick off the leaves to give to them. Now I want to see if Bobby goes crazy like Sylvester does.

  7. Tsk, tsk, tsk, looks like confirmed addicts :) Elizabeth

  8. He is indeed, Cato! And Milo is not interested in catnip yet - he's just 5 months and I believe he's got a month to go if he ever should get interested in the stuff. He'd be all over The Bobster and annoy him when he was partying with his plant, so I left him in the bathroom. Bobby needed a treat for being such a good boy and having trouble with his eye!

  9. So, GD, you are saying Bob takes only medicinal nip? :P

Posted 3 years ago by miu #

  10. Yes, THAT'S it, Miu!!! :)

  11. Bobby is such a sweetie! Hey, GD, where do you get the 'nip plants, at the nursery or the pet stores?

Posted 3 years ago by kittymom #

  12. Kittymom, I got it at Petco. Sometimes I get the catgrass and he likes that, too. I find that both at Petco and PetsMart, but so far I haven't found the nip at Petsmart. This is probably a good thing as I usually go there and would be in big financial trouble right about now if I had to buy Bobby a nip plant every time I go there!

  13. Aww he loves his plant. I was just about to open the movie when the IT Nazi's called me and told me what I was doing is a no-no. They actually 'saw' what I was doing (which I knew they would, I just didnt' think they would care). So I won't get to see the movie until tonight. I DID love the picture of Bob with his plant. Awwww Bobby.

  14. BAD IT Nazis!!!!! Didn't they want to see Bobby's movie? Did you tell them Bobby made it especially for you? What if we make one dedicated to them?

  15. Thanks, GD... now I have to schedule a trip to the 'nip plant store ;-) I already have a special planter of cat grass that I grow specially for them; haven't been able to successfully grow the nip tho.

  16. I grow catnip in a hanging basket every summer for my kitties. If I plant it in the ground, the word goes around and the neighborhood cats band together and destroy my "catnip bar" every time :-( and they don't even leave a woody stem for Tansey and Hermes!

  17. I would love to grow my own nip. I wonder...
    *goes to check catalogues*

  18. Once I move to a bigger place, I want to plant a couple of the catnip plants in a big planter - or try to - I've got a black thumb! :(

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  19. Me too GD. I killed a cactus once. That just ain't right. I wonder if I could grow catnip on a Chia Pet?

Posted 3 years ago by HuddysMama #

  20. GD, I buy a new plant from Petco about once a month as a treat for Sylvester and Mia. I used the last of the plant last night and will go buy another one tonight when I go to pick up cat supplies (just used the last of the litter and need wet food too).

Huddy's Mama, I know of firms who watch what their employees do on their computers, but didn't know they had instantanious viewing unless they log into your computer, talk about spying on the employees, wow! Unfortunately they have to do it since there are a few "bad apples" out there.

  21. Hmmmmmmm - must try catnip on Chia Pet!!!! I killed an orchid, a bonsai and at least two of those lucky bamboo plant things - along with countless other plants, two goldfish, 4 betas etc. :(

  22. Bob looked to be in heaven..I've been thinking about getting one of those catgrass flats..my sons girlfriend got one from her work it's a long flat with catnip, and 3 kinds of cat grass..

  23. Karin, I just give Bobby the whole plant!!! Was never quite sure what to do with it! It lasts 2-3 days tops, and that's if I take it away from him every night and when I'm gone during the day, or else I come home to dirt and pieces of catnip scattered all over the floor and Milo chewing on the now enmpty plastic planter!

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  24. Huh, 2b, you just reminded me I got one of those at some point - don't know where it is - never got it started so it's still in the plastic somewhere. Wonder if it's still good? That is if I can find it!

  25. LOL...your house sounds like mine!!!!

  26. Glad I'm not the only one - dead plants , mess and kitty stuff everywhere. This weekend I cleaned my small bathroom - and found 11 cat toys!!!!!
Milo also likes to bring a toy to his Mama when she's sleeping, so I wake up with a different toy every morning. This morning it was a pink flick stick, yesterday an almost dead catnip mouse. Apparently the pink and the green flick sticks work well for placement in empty food and waterbowls as well! Guess the bright colors are supposed to attraract the attention of Mama so the bowls can be refilled. Mi's trained me well!

  27. Oh, and I forgot to add the knocked-over garbage can to the list!!! EVERY day! and most nights, too!!!
As for the night stand, I've given up! Everything gets knocked back off the thing within minutes of me putting it there, so now my waterbottle, bglasses, phone, books, allergymeds, tissue box just pretty much reside somewhere on the floor in the vicinity of my bed!!!!!

  28. He is perfect, he'll even eat his veggies! I can just hear him saying: "thank you mama".

Posted 3 years ago by Tigerlilly #

  29. Well, yes, TL, Bobby is very well behaved - Milo on the other hand......

Posted 3 years ago by GreatDane #

  30. I'm sure Milo is perfect too...he can do no wrong in my eyes!
