  1. I'm happy again that someone had the tenacity to go undercover with cameras which seems to be the only exposure to animal cruelty that ever gets a response from our government. Keep an eye out for future legislation on new protections of animal farming. You don't have to watch the video...just read the story if you're unable to witness the reality of today's cruelties. The story tells enough.

  3. If I didn't eat meat, I would die. Pure and simple.

    This story IS disturbing though.

  4. well that is only one reason I don't eat it. Funny but I've never liked the texture much and I gradually ate less and less until I just stopped.

  5. I have a friend who doesn't eat meat because it's (she says) animal cruelty, but you can't beat her to the table when somebody's boiling a lobster alive. lol

Honestly, I try not to think overmuch about the life my dinner may or may not have had. I'm always too busy stuffing my face.

I understand your point though. I've known people who were bothered by the texture of meat. To each his own.

  6. I do eat meat..but I do not want to eat meat that has been treated cruelly. There's no excuse for it today. I respect you totally Buttercup for becoming a vegetarian...I've often wondered if I could stop eating meat...but doubt it. My body just cannot function when it starts protein withdrawals and I really don't care for beans that much. There's the complete proteins vs. the incomplete proteins and I get so lost in it all that I doubt I could give it up. So I HAVE to fight for at least a humane handling of these poor animals...Argh!

  7. I wish people would be kinder on their own but until they do, people need to step in and say, No thats not right you cant keep doing that,,,

  8. I am a meat-eater and I am willing to pay more for "humane" meat. I already buy my eggs from little hen houses which allow hens roam on land.
