    Hi,I feel a little better after a day,I still have some pain but I'm very happy with the improvement because I came very close to being put in the hospital. Thanks to everyone for your prayers.

    glug glug glug bought more cranberry juice,LOL.Seems I can be a nurse for everyone but me,I'm always asking my mom to drink cranberry juice because of her UTIs but didn't even think of it for myself. Sheesh! Thanks again!

    Oh Buttercup...Ouch for sure...you poor thing!! I've never *knocking on wood too* had kidney stones. I hope you can get rid of them quickly. Do they just have to work through you or does the doctor give you something to disolve them? Yikes.

    The ER doc gave me Flomax(which is usually only for men) and pain meds and told me to see a specialist. I haven't had as much pain as is usual for the kidney stones so for the rest I hope it's not too bad.I continue to drink enormous amounts of fluids including cranberry J(I should buy stock).

    Buttercup, is the diagnosis still just a urine infection? By now, if they did a urine culture those results should be back. In addition they can tell you whether the bug is sensitive to the antibiotic that you are taking. After some surgery last Dec, it took 3 antibiotics before my infection would clear because with the first two, the bug was resistant and therefore not effective. Maybe you can ask about this. Hope that you are on the mend soon.

    No TL,I have 4 kidney stones that have already passed out of my kidneys(sorry if this is TMI).I'm going to call a urologist in the morning and find out what other "fun" I'm in for.
    The urine culture was inconclusive.
    I am just much happier to find a diagnosis and I am very happy w/ the ARNP and Doctor who were so understanding.And I was in and out of the ER too.
