After reading about the bar on the cafe earlier, I for real left work and ran to the liquor store and got two mini bottles of baileys! One for me and one for my boss. We are the only ones here today so we wont get into trouble.
"Steps up to the line. Raises the Baileys in toast to my friend Cat Rancher and her beautiful Maine Coons, Drinks it in one gulp and takes a bow."
That was good and much needed after a long day working on a Saturday!

KW, not so much, but it was fun looking and got to see some good landscaping in the front yards...that is fun in itself. And I didn't need anything really, just looking to see what's out there.

You didn't miss much of anything, Kitten Whisperer. And I've always appreciated your ability to remain low key and neutral. Kind of like "Sweden" in your own way. I said in my "the power of the written word" thread, all that I have to say about leaving the TDK.
I invited Dee to toast with me, but it seems that she is no longer able to post to this site. I'm sure it's a glitch in the system -- I mean certainly, she would not have been blocked? I'm not saying that she would post AND she's not much of drinker anyway!
MerD...I'm staying right where I am, firmly planted in the middle of the USA. I'm just toasting with my friends before I leave the TDK. I don't like the dramatic, "I'm LEAVING, stomp, stomp, stomp" kinda thingy, so I'd thought I'd let everyone know exactly where I stand in my other thread and reserve this for a toast to the success and happiness of my friends on the TDK. I won't post after tonight. I just find it too hurtful...I've lost too many friends to some yentas who make it difficult to carry on a meaningful discourse. Nuff said?

CatRancher, I'm sorry to hear that you're leaving, but I understand and respect your reasons for doing so. Should you start up your own blog or website someday, I'd love to hear about it!
And I, for one, will never stop advocating for pets. They live, die, thrive, or suffer by the actions of their owners. I love hearing about happy endings, but I grieve to know that so many pets and companion animals are not so lucky.

Just about done with polishing off the L'Ecole....where to now? I don't keep hard liquor around and I'm NOT driving anywhere (I promised Dee I would not drive while tipsy!)
I'm going to try to go see Dee this Autumn...late Autumn...when its cold here in the Midwest and warm in Florida! It's just difficult for me to plan a trip with the demands of my job and well...it's a luxury for me to travel by air. I have so many other areas where my money is better spent...like FOOD, ha-ha-ha! Some people are always jetting off here and there...makes you wonder, doesn't it? Are they wealthy? Do they have children and grand children that they are helping? So many of us struggle to take care of the ones we love and we just don't have the money to travel except for business. Ah well, lucky them...here's to vacations for all of us!
Hey, Karenopa...where do you live? Don't you live in the Northwestern US? We could meet here in Iowa...halfway between FLA and your place?

CR, I am at a loss for words. :-( Every time someone leaves here, it leaves a hole in my heart, especially those I have known for so long. This is the only site where everything in 95% fluffy. Something I desperately need in my life, and on a daily basis. I love talking about my kits, and hearing about other peoples kits. Geez, I am crying real tears for you..

OMG...Leave it to me to be a day late and a dollar short!!! I only came onto TDK a little while ago. CR..I totally missed your first topic as I immediately came into The Bad Cat Bar. Had to go back and read the other post. OMG..CR..I'm shocked that you're leaving! So many wonderful TDK people are going or gone....sniff sniff...Just sent Jeff to store for the cheers. I will surely miss you as I miss Dee and I miss Jo! Dang it!!!!
