Prayers and love are coming your way for both your Mom and you. I understand the fear, as my Mom went through something similar recently. The TDK white light helped her through it so quickly, so I know how amazing it is. So add my prayers and hugs to you and your family-and you can count on the help the powerful TDK light brings!

2P, whenever your mom makes it out of the ICU, it's a great sign! So tomorrow, the day after, or the day after that... regardless, it'll be a great day!
Hugs to you, Chloe, and Amelia/Mili/Melia.

You are right Ann... it will be a good day. Mom was doing much better yesterday. Actually able to speak a full sentence without gasping for air .. even with 100% oxygen flowing. For all nurses out there, or anyone else who understands blood thinners and the tests that go with them... her INR/PT/PTT (which ever you prefer) was almost 10 the first night in ICU. Back down to 3 yesterday... whew!!!
And... Mom thanks all of your for your prayers, energies and light.

Buttercup... yeah, very scary. She showed me her bruise from the supposed torn muscle in her lower stomach. OMG!!! I reaches from her side all the way across her stomach to the other hip bone and is probably 6-8 inches wide. And the ER doc never looked at her stomach... just pressed. yikes

I'm glad your mom is doing better, OP. I'm keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

What good news! This happened to my mom last summer, fortunately without the complication of the blood thinners.

It's up and down... today she didn't look so good. Still in ICU. And she is so very grateful to all of you.... as am I. I'm exhausted from all this.... going to go out for dinner tonight - it's already 8 pm. and I haven't eaten. A little 'me' time now. Bless you all.

Mom is still in ICU receiving IV antibiotics and and 70% oxygen. She'll be in ICU tomorrow for sure... and I don't know for how long. She is weak, she hurts everywhere, and breathing is still an effort. Eating... well, she is eating applesauce and that's about all. They brought her some jello and the effort o eat it was too much. She looks so tired. Please keep the prayers and positive energy coming. thank you all....

Sounds like your Mom is doing better what with being 70% instead of 100% oxygen. Hope she can get her strength back up. Healing white light to your Mom, that she gets better. Hugs to you 2P.

2P, I'm glad your mom isn't on 100% O2 anymore; that's a big improvement from only 3 days ago! The lower oxygen content is making everything more difficult for her, though, and her body is having to work harder to do everything.
She's showing some signs of improvement, and that's a good thing. If she needs help, the ICU is the very best possible place for her to be. The goal is to eventually get out of there, but clocks and calendars don't mean much in the ICU, most of the time. As long as she continues improving, even if it's slower than one would wish for, improvement and increasing health is the important thing.
I hope and pray that she continues to improve, and that she's soon past the worst of her difficulties.
