  1. It's that time, and borrowing previous starts here goes....

    the drink fountains are on,
the bar is open and serving anything you desire,
the masseurs are limbered up and ready,
the cold snacks are on the buffet table (chips, dips, cheese, veggies, cashews, mixed nuts,)
the hot snacks are coming out now (pizza, wings, fried potato skins, taquitos),
the DJ is taking requests for your music preference(s),
and, the cafe kittens are up and awake and ready to play !!!

Welcome to the Night Shift & don't forget your sense of humour!

  2. I'm a bit emotionally wound up tonight, so definitely a drink (anything with Royal Chambord) and a masseur and some relaxing music would go quite nicely right now. Thanks so much!

And of course, petting kittens always helps my emotional state. And I miss the trio. May I borrow one cafe kitten for a few minutes, while that drink is being mixed?

  5. Well I have news! I heard from the breeder today! The brown tabby she's holding for me will be ready to come home in 3 weeks or so! Only one problem! If the tempts rise above 85 she wont ship him! If that happens all likely hood of me getting my coonie this year will be gone. Since summer only increases the heat! And if she does not have any litters closer to Christmas I will have to wait until next spring! I am very sad and worried my coonie dreams may not come true!

  6. Hey there anncetera, of course you can have a cafe kitten while your drink is being mixed.....here goes both drink and furball :)

Afternoon bhm and LV....LV see if she would consider one of the ground transports (vans that work with show animals) for the shipping, I am surprised that the airlines would go as high as 85 degrees...that is still awfully warm, at one time I did fly animals and always made sure that it was at the break of daylight because it was cooler then. Or try to arrange for a TDK shuttle from wherever the breeder is, it has been attempted before. Just throwing ideas out there for ya.

  7. Good evening all. I am starting to feel the "Sundayitis" which is a feeling of where did the weekend go and do I have to go work tomorrow. Oh well. LV, how far away is this breeder that she has to ship him to you?

  8. Oh my anncetera, I forgot to send the masseur, he is enroute as we speak.

  9. Afternoon SMM :)

Well everyone I am going to try and lie back down again...it is too hot here, even though my son in Phoenix believes that this is the perfect weather. Be back a bit later :)

  10. The other possibility might be flying there and meeting the breeder at the airport; taking the kitten on board in the passenger compartment, and returning home right away. It's expensive, and not all airlines offer this service. But even though she's a Coon, she's still a kitten and should still be small enough to comfortably fit in one of the underseat carrier available.

    Good luck!

  11. Thank you for everything, AZD! A highball, a furball, and a masseur... just what's needed this evening.

    Posted 3 years ago by anncetera2 #

  12. And they are all good ones. Coonies are so furry that they truly suffer in high temperatures, so the breeder is showing a great deal of concern.

However, AzDeb has some good suggestions. Can we rev up the TDK Bucket Brigade again? Is the coonie going to cross the state of Pennsylvania? Let's brainstorm. I hate to see you without one of those darlings in your house. Life would have less savor without my Ruggles.

And another cranberry cocktail would be delightful!

  13. thanks azdebra! I will look into all options before i give up! SMM she's in Alabama! Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm waiting to hear back from her! I gave her the 4 local airports monterey, san jose, oakland and Sab Fran! I'll keep you informed!

  14. So, we're looking at transporting a cat from Alabama to California? To one of those four airports?

It would probably be incumbent upon the new owner to go fetch the kitten from the breeder's hometown, though it would be generous of the breeder to offer to help with some of the cost (such as the additional fee the airline charges for passenger compartment travel of animals; last airline I checked when going from KC to Phoenix, the fee was $80.00 - each way).

  15. Azdebra I will be paying cod for the shipping. only thing that could cause the problem is heat! I would love to fly down and pick himup jut two problems. 1) I used to love flying until a bad flight and now break out in a cold sweat and get dizzy! 2) I will still be working so I can't take time off from work!

Auntie Emma I am praying weather cools and stays there so my baby can get to me! If I had the time I would drive but I'm working! pout! Even with these high gas prices!

  16. well. i'm ready for a double bailey's straight up for sipping. it's been a cold wet nasty day here all day. i need something (or someone of the male gender) to warm me up...

Posted 3 years ago by CSBM #

  17. Hey AZDeb! Wow, LV, that is a long drive! Anncetera, how come you are feeling emotionally wound up, if I may ask.

Posted 3 years ago by SylMiaFelixMomma #

  18. yes smm it is! If I had the time i'd do it in a heart beat!

    hey cheri!

Posted 3 years ago by Momma to 2 MaineCoons #

  19. Sven will not do this time. i want kisses and hugs and cuddles and ...

Posted 3 years ago by CSBM #

  20. whoa cheri! you might hurt sven's feelings if you turn your favor to another!
    heehee!

Posted 3 years ago by Momma to 2 MaineCoons #

  21. LV, won't she hold the baby 'til school is out so you can pick him up, if you've already paid?

Posted 3 years ago by kittymom #

  22. SMM, it's just a relationship thing. I can't go into details here. I'm just a bit confused, and trying to gain some clarity, that's all.

    Posted 3 years ago by anncetera2 #

  23. well, if i can't find anybody of the male gender to kiss and cuddle with tonight, i'll just go and find some chocolate...

    good night all, pleasant dreams...

Posted 3 years ago by CSBM #

  24. Km no I haven't paid for him yet! I emailed her asking about sending money early and that's when she asked location to be shipped and of course airports/tempts here now and expected for June! I understand her concerns and considerations! It shows me that I chose my breeder wisely! She would have to hold him 2 more weeks and then I would have only 4 days to get there and back to start my summer job! All I can do is pray the weather will cool and stay cool or that id she send him out early her time he will get here early morning so it will still be cool! If the baby arrives on a satrueday I would be more then willing to get up at 3 or 4am my time to pick him up before it gets too warm! Once I here from her these are all things I will ask her and suggest!

Yes untie Emma heat for my baby wouldbe bad since he is a furry fella! I am so concerned! Part of me says work it out anyway I can and another part says I need to be patient and wait until next year but the wait is gonna kill me! Being patient this long has been hard another year ugh!

Buteither way the babies health comes first and when the time comes I ay have to decline and wait!

  25. LV, can you pick a breeder closer to home or is that the wrong thing to say since you have your heart on this particular coonie? Anncetera, sorry you are going through a hard time. Hugs to you and we are here if you need us. You can always email me but I cannot put my email on here so if you want to email me, contact LV.
