  1. You have been in my thoughts all day, Karen and Jeff. Bless you for releasing Abby from her pain. I have no doubt that Abby is busy washing Chester's face with doggy kisses and wagging her tail off!

    Emma, what a beautiful tribute!

  2. Dear Karen, may you find comfort in the love and devotion that you have so generously given to Abby. As I have said before, I refuse to believe that such powerful love withers into nothing; to the contrary, it grows with each passing day in the heart of Abby, she will be filled with this love at the rainbow bridge. While she plays with all of our furry babies, your love will sustain her as she waits patiently to be reubited with her forever family. May you have peace today and in the days to come, in knowing that she knows how much you love her and that you were unselfish in ending her pain. God bless.

  6. Hello sweet TDK family...I have to say I'm so very overwhelmed by your loving support..The past hours have been, as you all well know very emotional. Let me share a few precious moments with you that I will carry with me always.
There was some uncertainty at the end as to where we may lay Abby to rest. As always...our God moved us to make a change in our plans that was absolutely correct. He's so wonderful that way. As I softly wept for the loss of my sweetest, loyal friend ever...Jeff carefully prepared a good and proper place for Abby in our own backyard. He was perhaps 3/4 the way through the preparations when I came walking from inside the house and the sight I came upon, took away my breath and I quickly stifled the sob that threated to escape at that moment. As I peeked over the tall grass to the area where he stood, I spotted Jeff standing proud and tall, shovel grasped tightly in hand, in the place he was preparing for our girl to lay. Beside the hole he was digging I spied Amos (Abby's son) standing closeby in support of the events as they were unfolding. A few feet away...to my amazement where the picnic table stands in wait of happier times...I spotted Tuffy sitting tall beneath it. To his left upon one bench sat Shady and Oreo, upon the tabletop Sugarfoot was perch silently. They all had their eyes fast upon Jeff and I confess, I could not make out his words but he was speaking to them as he prepared this place of rest. I will remember that moment all the days of my life...The Family all standing nearby in honor of their fallen loved one. I see all of you as you always stand in honor of and for the ailing members of this TDK community I tell you it's truly a beautiful thing to behold. God Bless you one and all. Thank you and God Bless you KittenMaster...for without you this would not be a possibility for any of us.

Oh...I almost forgot...After all was inplace and the last bit of soil returned to it's rightful place...There stood a lovely yellow rosebush to commemorate the memory of our dearly departed Abby

  9. That's the beautiful thing about this WWM..You don't have to do anything...Just being who you are and caring so freely...It's the greatest of all gifts or honors one can ever hope for. That fact strengthens us all when these events come knocking on our doors.
miu..Thank you sweetie..you're another of our Angels.

  23. When we lose someone we love, a pet or a person or a way of life, we need to grieve. If we do not weep, we did not love. Our tears honor the dead. And while they may bless or burn us, they also heal us. They refresh the dry land within us, and life begins again. Nothing will grow in our souls without those tears; they are from God.

  24. Karen, Lisa, Misty and CJ send their love and deepest condolences. Thank you for sharing the beautiful scene of your family all together, standing in honor of Abby. You have touched me deeply, and I wish there was something I could do to make your hurt go away. I go from here to light a candle for Abby and speak quietly to the Great Creator to petition comfort for you and Jeff, and all of Abby's buddies.
