Hi, Madcatwoman, I wish you the best with your Mum's problem. Op, sorry you have to carry the load for Dad, know that he appreciates any time you have with him, but I suggest, as others did, take care of yourself, too. You need to stay healthy yourself, to help him. Hugs to dad. Dorie, I am glad the son is doing better, and you take care of yourself too. I know what you are going through and send hugs and purrs and much love to you all.\

I think I posted this before, bear with me. A neighbor lady, Lila, the drs found a spot on her lung. She had all the tests and a biopsy. It was negative. Thank God, I said, dr wanted another one this time through the back. It came back cancerous. She will have surgery later this month. Don't know if they will take the tumor or the uppper quadron of her lung. Won't know till they get in there. This woman is a very vibrant 75 year old lady. My heart is breaking. She is everything I wish my mother could have been to me. We have known her 11 years and I don't know what else to do for her. Her children are taking care of the visits, (being with her, explaining things to her). They are good kids, I don't worry about that. I just don't want her to die. I know I sound selfish right now, and there is nothing that has been said on that. She should come out of this fine. She is very healthy for her age. I just don't know if I could handle another one. I know, this is life, but why does it have to hurt this bad. I am not good with family, they are not good with me either. No loss, no foul. Just so many "family" and friends dropping like flies, I know it's an age thing. You deal with this as you get older. Thanks for letting me vent. Lynn

Dorie - Having taken tons of Prednisone before, I can sympathize with both sides of your sitation... hang in there.
Y'all - Need the healing purrs for Dad and Mom. Dad came home early from work with a headache, then Mom calls me about 90 minutes ago asking what she should do to help Dad while they wait for his gut doctor to call back, he thinks he has a blockage because he hasn't passed anything all afternoon (he had an ileostomy in 1999). I gave them my surgeon's number and said that if they didn't hear back from someone in 10 minutes to call him. Then I hear nothing for over an hour. I try to call, get three answering machines. Give them a minute and start calling back, Mom finally answers her cell phone, I ask where the hell they are, they're at the hospital downtown, Dad's been triaged and his GI doc is on the way. I tell her to CALL ME, and now I will get no sleep tonight.

Hi all, I send my prayers to all of ya'll that need them. I get to do a double tonight (yay me) Our night Tech's grandpa is on a respirator and not expected to make it too much longer, so I am doing my shift and taking call on hers. I'm good, just really tired. One of the young babies I fostered (I have 2 left a siamese (Davidson) and a black tabby (MOJO)), Mojo specifically kept trying to sleep on my head. And while I don't mind, I do hope to find him a furrever home, and don't want anyone to freak out about that. (because people do) So I had to keep moving him. He is so sweet and such a lover boy.

Bustersmomma, blessings to Fred too! Good man. hugs and purrs, Lynn

Dorie, is Sox's Mom someone we should be concerned about? Sorry, I remember her posting, but lost track of what might or might not have happened? Refresh, please, you seem to be quite concerned. Lynn
