   Hey everyone, just wanted to let people know that things are looking up for the time being (hopefully a LONG time). Here's the sitch: At the residential treatment I work at, one of our regular staff member's mom died in the past week. Well, unfortunately, this co-worker will be out for at least two weeks due to mental problems and stress. Her therapist called my boss about the whole situation and then he called me. Here was his proposition: that he wants me to cover her shift until she comes back, which could be at the least two weeks, but he seems to think it will be longer. He offered me her position to fill in for her and he offered me her pay, which is a substantial pay increase. It will be 40 hours a week, 4 10 hour shifts! It gonna be a load, but it's a load I don't mind carrying if it's something I need ya know? Then some more good stuff: I will be going back to school at the end of the month to work on my Juvenile Corrections Certificate (1 year) and got funding from financial aid. So in a roundabout way, things are looking up!!! ^_^

   Whoo Hoo!! (yeah like WWM said, not the part about the mom) but wonderful news..I know my several Juvenile Corrections Officers here, tough job, but good pay, good benefits..and what a job to be able to make a huge differance!!! Way to Go!

   Sorry for the coworker's loss but good for you! That is great you boss thinks highly enough to offer you the position and all that goes with it! Congrats on your hard work! Also congrats on getting funded for your certificate. Good news!!
