The perfect kitten

My dream kitten is European Short Hair. I really love their round heads and full cheeks. She/he is an orangie (I have seen very few orangies in the nature) with green eyes and a mighty tail.
She is playful, talkative and purrs loud and often. She is a cuddler but not too dedicated lapcat - I hate to interrupt a lap session with my chores. -
My purrfect kitten would be lovable like Bog, playful like Clark and little like little Andy and a beautiful grey like Bog!

The perfect kitten for me? Thats easy! All current and past members of the zoo crew!!! Each and every one is perfect in their own unique way and I'm just crazy about them all and miss terribly the ones that have passed to the bridge.

Smokie (1989-1991) was my perfect kitten. She was jet black with long luxurious fur and a huge tail that went on forever. Newly married, my black cat Taz, did not adjust well to mountain life, so she lived her life at my parents' house, who were very happy to have her. Settling into our new home, which was just a house, as I believe a house is not a home unless there's a cat, we got to know our neighbors. A couple of old timers, who are still my favorite neighbors, had cats, she was the local "cat lady". While we were talking, a little black kitten wandered past her and up to me. She just "showed up" and I was instantly smitten. Talked to hubby about her and before we could get her, she introduced herself to hubby when he walked down the street. I think she was under our roof that night!
She was sociable, and quite the mouser and she grew to be a beautiful large cat. She would go out in the morning when we left for work, and, knowing the sounds of our trucks, waited for us at our picnic table when we got home. She would come in for dinner, then go back out for a while, then in for the night. She was always content, except when dinner was late, and loved both of us as much as we loved her.
She left us way to early, but it sure seems God had a plan. She died in April 1991 and shortly after we learned of a little grey kitten who needed a home. We gave that little grey kitten a home and named him Shaddo.Posted 1 year ago by JoanfromNewJersey #
