...for Shaddo please. He hasn't eaten voluntarily in over a week. It's been really tough; most of you know first hand. I'll be calling the vet tomorrow.

Shaddo, please eat. You are worrying your mommy. We do not want anything to happen to you, we all love you so much and Fred needs his buddy.
Joan, you and Shaddo are in my thoughts, prayers and all the white light is being sent to precious Shaddo. Please keep us updated. {{{HUGS}}}

You and Shaddo are in my prayers, Joan. He has known many years of love with you. If it is his time, may his passing be peaceful. Sending the TDK white light to comfort you both.

When Titch went through something similar, the vet suggested tempting him with the smelliest fish I could find (and stomach!!) - not great for his kidneys, but at that stage, nutrition was the priority. {{hugs}} for you, {{scritches}} for Shaddo and prayers for you both.

Neither of us are happy about force-feeding, but at least he isn't going to starve. He does't appear to be hurting. It's pretty much up to him and Him.

Aww poor Shaddo---it is not a good sign, but I had my meezer queen do that over several years, stop eating and when I made a vet appt. she would start eating again. She lived to be 19. White light going to you.

Joan, I've been where you are a couple of times. It's hard and you keep second guessing yourself. I wish you strength to do whatever is needed. And I'm sending good vibes to Shaddo that this is just a minor set back and he'll rally and love you for a long time more.

Joan......I can only say from my experiences..........Several years ago my FIV positive kitty(diagnosed in 1996) became quite "ill", and would not eat or drink. Nothing from the vet seemed to work, antibiotics, etc.,nor did he have any suggestions as to what I should do.........except to let the situation take it's course. Not wanting to take that course, I started force feeding baby food,(meat/chicken only), and water 5 times a day. It took 2 months before kitty finally started eating on his own. I know force feeding is unpleasant for all concerned.........Maybe Shaddo could use a week or two more of those feedings?? I used my "Chef Shot", without the needle, to administer the baby food and water. Of course kitty was wrapped straight jacket style in a towel. (He now runs when he sees a towel in my hand)!! I do not know all of Shaddo's health issues, besides being a senior kittisan. Just wanted to say not to give up........those puds can really surprise you, and hang on a bit longer. Prayers to you and Shaddo.

Shaddo is 17, Elaine. A good long life full of adventures and happiness. He can barely stand on his own today. I think the little fella's body is just giving up. The meds for anemia aren't working, as his body isn't producing the proteins for it to work with. I will be calling the vet shortly. The day may be today instead of Thursday. I don't want him to suffer; he deserves the best for his final days/hours.

Joan, I'm so very sorry. I know you'll do what's best for Shaddo, even if it breaks your heart.
