Recently saw this product at Petco, and then on the site above. Anyone have any experience with products like this one. Have 7 year old cat that just hasnt seemed as content as before we moved a few months ago. He is healthy, but sometimes seems more anxious, is misbehaving (peeing in wrong places), and not as cuddly, which is unusual for him. I also have another male 4yrs (who is always cool) and a female 6 yrs - and "the boss", who also has her bad moments.

  2. I used it when Maverick was peeing where HE wasn't supposed to. Turns out the culprit was the covered litter box. However, I've read some great success stories with Feliway on this very site. Good luck with your kitties.

  3. Hi maholtz, welcome to TDK. I use Feliway plug-ins, they were a great help when settling my Mum's aged cat in when he came to live with us and our three young hooligans. One of the three, Eric, has a tendancy towards stress induced bouts of UTI, and again, using the plug-ins around "known" stressful times has helped enormously. One (enough for a largish room) lasts about a month, but you can plug in and unplug as you need to.

  4. maholtz, I use it with Meow Meow who developed anxiety and spraying after our move to CA. It has worked well. Consider shopping around for it and the refills online, you can get a far better price than at Petco/Petsmart. Good luck

  5. I wonder if this product would be good for me to use with my 4 sibblings. They're just over one yr. and seemed to work out some sort of protocol early on as to who was the alpha male and who was the alpha female. Those two tend to hand around the house alot. The other two enjoy coming inside to sleep at night but are very nervous about coming into certain living areas as I've seen my alpha female displaying jealous kick-butt with her sister. I'd like them all to feel like they can come in and relax anywhere the family happens to be. Do you think this could make a difference?

  6. Worth a try Karen. It is expensive, shop for the best price online. You could also try Bach's rescue remedy, sold online or at most health food stores.

  7. I used it last year when I moved. We moved less than 2 miles but it was a comfort that Velvet and Spice were not stressed in any way, except for the drive. They moved in 2 days before I did. I confined them in the largest bedroom with a ceiling fan set on the lowest setting. The day of the move they were shut in the bathroom with a "do not enter - kitties in here" sign. All worked out well, and I used the feliway until it was all used up, about a month...

  8. I have noticed that shopping around will save some money. Not familiar with Meow Meow-will have to research that one. I appreciate the feedback. And look forward to hearing more....

  11. I use Feliway on regular basis and I am happy with it. (I have 4 cats, a girl and 3 boys with two of them competing of the alfa cat position.)

  15. I've had pretty good success with Feliway. I use the spray, not a plug-in. It's still not cheap, but you get more for your money.

Your babies are probably just stressed about the move, so you might not have to use it for too long. I've had the bottle I use for some time and it seemed to work just fine when I needed it to help Fila (AKA: was-the-baby-but-now-a-big-sister) adjust to Sneakers (new baby and in Fila's face A LOT).
