Hi all
I'm asking for prayers for my youngest son! He started with an asthma attack at school yesterday and was sent home. Daughter picked him up. I called home at about 1pm youngest answered the phone, I could hear him wheezing on the phone. Needless to say I went right home and took him to the Doctor. He has double ear infections and asthmatic bronchitis. He was put on steroids breathing treatments every 6 hours and an antibiotic. I stayed home with him today. he was pretty much fine up until about 2 hours ago he started with a pain in his side not bad but he's uncomfortable. I'm hoping he just pulled a muscle and it's not the beginning of pmonia(SP?)Please send prayers and white light his way!
thanks
Dorie

Prayers for your son Dorie. If the pain continues or worsens , please take him back in. He could have pneumonia but , not to sacre you, some asthmatic patients can get a partail lung collapse. You are taking very good care of him I'm sure.

Dorie have you had your son sit in the bathroom with the door closed and the water running as hot as it will go? That is one of the things I have to do when I get astmatic bronchitis. Another thing that helps is to put the cough and cold baby wash in the tub, the vapors really do help with the chest congestion. Also chicken soup with lots of garlic is helpful.
PS I will pray for him tooPosted 3 years ago by TheKnittingNinja #

Morning all
It was a bad night(Had to get up every 4 hours to administer breathing treatments) He got up this morning extreamly tight in his cough! gave him a treatment and he's still saying his side hurts. I'll be calling the doctor at 9 am.(He says he's not bad enough to go to the hospital, I might bring him there if he gets worse before 9am) He and I are both home from school/work again, My work will be mad, but my feeling is my child comes first, Work second!
Please keep the prayers and white light coming
Peace

Your son is still in my prayers Dorie. I am sorry he is still not better. I agree with you, your son comes first. I wish employers would understand that.
Please let us know what the Dr. says.Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

Dorie...Argh!!! I'm so sorry...I remember how much it hurt to have to fight with employers to understand my asthmatic child required more absense from work..than their average employee. I hear your exhaustion. It comes first from knowing your son is suffering and feeling so hopeless to take it away. Breathing problems in our children can tear at our hearts. Waking...still tired from a long day...working feverously to get the child through to a comfort zone where all can fall back into a fitfull doze for another short time. I remember hon. Prayers to you and your son while you're struggling to get through one more episode of too many. You're such a great mom and you are one of the toughest moms I know. {{{Hugs}}}
