Today is Crickets 3rd Birthday Party !!

  1. BooBoo kitty joins Emma for a nap after thanking Crickets mama and dad for a wonderful feast. She too looks like a rock as she lay down next to Emma.

  2. Tuffy walks up to Thierry and says howdy..Those butterflys are tricky aren't they? He tells Thierry of the grasssnake that lingers within the perriwinkle bush and they decide to go stretch out nearby and innocently wait for new possibilities in store.

  3. Betty asks handsome Shady to join her and George by the maypole, lets all get to know each other, and watch Tuffy and Theirry to see if they are able to catch anything near the garden..

  4. Shady joins George and Betty and with a twitch of his tail sits among them at the maypole. He's already contemplating whether or not he could climb to the top of it in pursuit of the flags that whip in the wind. Shady gives George his paw slap to paw slap..kind of a low key high five rendition to show friendship and respect. He hugs Betty with a slow brief slip, slide of cheek along cheek and smiles his hello. She's all about sweet and lovely and he suddenly feels like a bumbling barn bouncer.

  5. Sugar starts nervously looking here and there when Oreo hisses...for heaven sakes girl who has you so worked up? Ha! I haven't seen your tail and whiskers twitch so since Mr. Lakely walked his bouncing boxer puppy past your napping tree and he managed to climb half way to your perch!

  7. Two noses peek uncertainly out of the wormhole. Buttercup and Penny weren't sure if they were coming to the party because they've never been through the wormhole before and they don't have any dress-up clothes. They dropped off their gifts for Cricket at Catster, then, after talking and thinking about it for a while, they decided to give it a try. Buttercup trots over to Emma and lies down beside her to watch what the other kitties are doing, while Penny races off to the May pole to join in streamer chasing.

    BooBoo offers to help Sugar find Shadow, maybe he is with Pricilla and Blackbeard and they seem to be hiding somewhere.

  9. CM - While going through some things, I found out what the present is (a list in Shaddo's one and only handwriting)! There are some cans of tuna and treats that Shaddo loved (apparently they discussed treats/food so he knew what she would want). There is also a vast assortment of kitty nail polish, a tiger's eye necklace and *gasp* a tiarra! He also included a group photo, I think it's from the rink.
    It looks like everyone is having a wonderful time - a great day for Cricket!

  11. Chance is waiting to see what ladies would like to join him on the dance floor. (He always considers himself a bit of a playboy, so Cricket's meowmy can send him home if he becomes too hard to handle.LOL) Smudge is sitting quietly with some of the ladies while they take breaks from dancing. She enjoys hearing all the news (gossip) they have.

  13. Sugar, Shadow is in the garden playing hide and seek with the butterflies. He is kind of down today as he really misses Shaddo and still doesn't really understand that Shaddo will always be with him in spirit. Why don't you join him and try and cheer him up! I'm sure that will make him very happy.

    Has anyone seen Pricilla and Blackbeard? I starting to get concerned.

  15. "Mu-u-u-u-mmmmm! I'm late again!!! Stop working on your computer and let me go through the wormhole to Cricket's party!!!" Tikka jumps up and down, tapping Rubia on the knee and rubbing her ankles. "Hurrrrryyyyyy!"

    "OK, OK! Let's get your stuff together"

    Tikka is dressed in a pink and white summer dress with pink ruffles to set off her glossy black fur. She has a tuna & nip casserole, as well as her famous prawn puff crunches to contribute to the buffet. For CM and all the other Meowmies and Daddies, she's bring mimosas - both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. AND for Cricket she has a gift wrapped in gold and white paper with gold ribbon. Rubia can tell the Tikka has wrapped the gift herself, as the paper is a bit crinkled and the ribbon is a bit shredded, but she insists that that makes it more fun for Cricket to play with!

    OK - here she comes! She runs up to Cricket and gives her a big hug and purrday kiss, and rubs up against the picture of Shaddo. "Sorry I'm late! Happy, happy purrday, Cricket!!!"

  16. I haven't seen those dresses either. Misu is wearing a blue evening gown and the boys have really sharp tuxedoes.

  17. Buttercup gets up from the napping spot and heads over to the buffet to sample the tuna-and-nip casserole. Penny watches Shady to see if he's going to try to climb the pole. She's an expert climber and, if he does it, she may try it, too.

  20. What is that in the sky? It's a hot air balloon and it's coming down right in the middle of the party! Who is that? Why it's Blackbeard and Pricilla! They wanted to give Cricket a special present for her purrday, a ride in a hot air balloon! All aboard who want a ride!

  23. Tikka gives Cricket her gift before they get into the hot air balloon. Ahhhh - it is a beautiful catnip mat (Tikka loves hers so much, she wants all her friends to have one!) This one is the "Princess" version, made with cream and gold brocade cloth, and trimmed with gold braid and tassles. Just perfect for Cricket to sit or lie on as she drifts above the party in the basket of the balloon!

  26. Cricket is agast how many friends made it to her party. She is having such a great time. she got up from her nap and now is in a balloon!!! She loves all her friends. She put on the tierra that Shaddo got her along with the necklace. She feels glamourous!!
    She tells the kits, wait till later when the fireworks happen. Meowmy said we can have mice on a stick for a treat. *no real mice were harmed in the making of this snack* It's really good and cold. Like a popsicle.

  27. Fred looks around for Misu and sees her. He was scared he would miss her today. He comes up to her and says " I know this is Cricket's day, but you are the most beautiful" and hands her a rose and nuzzles her cheek.
