   I've mentioned on the Night Shift that my step-dad fell on Monday causing a hairline fracture to his hip. He had surgery on Tuesday to place two screws in the bone. He has emphysema and congestive heart failure which are more worrisome than his hip injury. Fortunately, he has come through the surgery well and is medically stable. He will be transported to a skilled nursing facility near his home this evening. He will be receiving physical therapy to strengthen his muscles. We don't know how long he will be there but he can't take another fall.

   Please send the legendary TDK white light his way for significant improvement so he can return home safely! Thanks, family! :)

   Oh that's great that he doesn't have to spend anymore time in hospital! Here's hoping physical therapy goes well and he gets stronger so no more falls!

   Sorry to hear about your step-dad KW..Prayers and White light to him that he will heal completely and quickly. I'm sure it's very hard on him to be away from home. Poor Dear.

   Lots of white light and prayers heading his way. I am terrified that will happen to my mother, although I think I have convinced her to always use her walker. But she still insists on going out to get the mail without it! Grrr...

    Step-dad is now in a skilled nursing facility within five minutes of home. He has a very positive attitude which should maximize whatever benefit he can get from doing the rehabilitation from his hip surgery. He also has residual problems with his left side from a stroke which will be worked on at the same time. Mom is doing well. I helped her finish a couple of projects at home that she was stressing over. Now I am back home. It has been a long three days!

    Thank you for all the prayers and white light. I think it is working for my step-dad!!
