Gotta Vent

  1. I'm so livid with my neighbor right now I could bite her head off like Ozzy Osborne. I told her a week ago to please keep her cats inside while I only had a small window of opportunity to trap the Siameezer. 3 out of the last 4 days,I had to call her & tell her to come get her cats because 2 of them were coming into the yard stealing cat food & chasing the Meezer out of the yard.
It took me 4 days to set up what would've been a perfect trap for her & I finally had her going to the very back of the cage in which I was to trap her in. I was minutes from having her trapped when her stinking cat came back into the yard again & off Meezer ran.
Now I have to wait till tomorrow morning again. Morning is the only time the Meezer will go into the cage to eat. Mind you,I said some naughty words that several of the neighbors probably heard when she came over to get her cat. I've run out of patience w/this stupid woman. In the meantime, the Meezer is getting closer to her due date & I can't keep holding poor Hopper in his jail cell inside much longer.
I just had to get it off my chest. Thanks for listening, that's if you guys aren't tired of hearing a broken record of yet one more failed attempt at catching the Siameezer.

  3. Your frustration's leaping off the screen at me Susie. Stupid woman. I hope you said lots of naughty words, might have got through her thick skull. You'll get there, I know you will :-)

  4. Hey Susie...People can be so stupid and uncooperative. I realize how critical it is to catch this little girl before she has the kittens. I'm praying that tomorrow morning is the day! BIG PRAYERS & WHITE LIGHT that Siameezer begins a brand new phase of her life tomorrow..and Hopper too. Hang in there Susie...I know it's not funny but the image of 5'2", 100lb. you belting out a few sailer slang words overtop of the fences kinda brings a bit of a smile. Love you sis!

  5. I hope that tomorrow is the day! I am guessing that the neighbor cats are being opportunistic and coming into the yard because Hopper isn't there to defend his territory. I just hope the stupid woman keeps them in for a day or two so that you can get Siameezer out of the yard and into a cage.

  7. How is Hopper doing being inside still?

  8. While I would hate to be the meanie, I think this warrants lying in wait with a hose with a sprayer attached waiting to soak the intruders. It wouldn't injure them and they do have a shelter to return to for comfort and recovery.

  10. Here is hoping the woman got the words through her thick skull and will keep her cats indoors tomorrow and that you catch Siameezer tomorrow as well. Hugs to you susie for all your efforts.

  15. Susie, can I come and chase your neighbor with my sword ???

Posted 3 years ago by CSBM #

  16. Thanks you guys. Not only did I take some time to cool down, but, you all made me laugh. I loved all your suggestions.
ailuromaniac...I actually have thrown pans of water on her cats in the past when they came around. Needless to say,it didn't deter them for very long.
KYKAT...I'm almost certain as well they're coming around because Hopper isn't out there.
Hopper is doing as well as can be expected. He's been feral for a good 13 yrs. & then he's locked up in a cage he can't get out of. He is letting me brush his head & chin & almost to the center of his back. I don't dare go all the way or attempt his belly. If I do,he clearly lets me know it's not wanted. I feel bad because he doesn't do anything but sleep or listen to me while I jabber away to him while cleaning his box & cage out. He won't react to any toys or feathers or anything. Just the brushing & he loves getting it under the chin. If I'm real slow & easy about it he will let me scritch his head & ears with my hand.
Cheri...You can come over & sword the neighbor all you want. lol

Thanks you guys...You made me feel so much better! :)

  17. And I will don my "Mother Ursula, Abbess of Kent" outfit and smack her with my crozier. It may make her rethink the middle ages and religion, but who knows? We could truly make her see the light! :)

  18. Susie, any luck thi morning?

    Posted 3 years ago by KYKAT 12 23 #

  19. Dear Susie....Your loving kindness for Hopper while in his temporary sanctuary warms my heart. Now that he has been neutered...and forced to calm himself somewhat..he's now EVEN accepting some of your loving touches. You're a magic woman my little sis...Maybe you haven't caught Siameezer yet cause the good Lord knows Hopper, after so many years of fighting, protecting, taking, knowing pain and some hunger was due for just exactly this. His quiet transformation and renewed understanding of how life will change for him out there in the world once you have released him. Maybe some of this kindness will help to change his cattitude when he leaves. Maybe he just won't be quite so mean anymore. He'll always be feral but I hope it will be a changed feral. He's such a beautiful Orangie. Bless you Susie for all the love you carry in that little heart of yours.

  20. KYKAT...Thanks for asking, but,no luck. She's hangin' under our house & I swear she's looking thru cracks in the steps & knows I'm hiding out there. lol. I rigged a rope to the cage door this morning so if I see her inside the cage from the kitchen window,I can go around the side of the house & while out of view,I can yank the rope on the door. I can only hope that one of these tricks will work to get her caught real soon.

Emma...LOL...this neighbor is the wacko one that was putting kittens that died into her freezer rather than bury them. I'm not sure if she would even recognize religion if she saw it.

  21. OMG Susie, she put them in the freezer??? I've read about people like that on the news, but to have one next door??? You poor thing! Best of luck with Meezer!!!If she knew how much you care for her and want to help her, she would come up and ring your door bell!!

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  22. Dead kittens in the freezer??? What a screwball!! Nope, no religion recognized there. Thinking of you alot lately Susie. Sending extra special vibes your way to catch your special little lady.

Just a thought but have you tried putting food out for the neighbors cats closer to there own home so that they don't feel the need to come to your yard for food? Something to think about. {{{hugs}}} for you Susie, I get the feeling you need them.
