  18. Thanks everyone....Well, just got back from the vet. Romeo does not have a fever and the vet did not think that he was dehydrated. He felt that it may just be a little upset stomach from getting into some big kitty food.
But we got home, he had some water and he vomited it...so I am still on the edge about all of this . He is not lethargic by any means, but he has not eaten. Will try some baby food and pedialyte in a little while.
Please contined prayers. His brother and sister are doing just fine, so I'm still hoping that it;'s nothing bad. The rescue lady got me all in a frenzy speaking of panleukopenia. I know that she is trying to be cautious , but it has made me sick just thinking about it. Plus he has been playing with all of my kitties.

  19. Continuing to send white light for Romeo. I'm glad he has no fever and that he isn't dehydrated. You are a good kitty mom for taking him right into the vet!

  20. If Romero ate some big cat food and it upset his little tummy, he will probably have a sore tummy for a day or so. Their little digestive systems are small and sensitive so throwing up once can irritate the membranes enough to make him throw up again.

Keep trying small amounts at a time and give his tum-tum time to settle down. Obviously, if he is still sick in the morning another call to the vet would be appropriate. But it's a lot more likely that he's just testing your nerves right now and he'll be fine in the morning.

  26. How old is Mr. Romeo? My Milo is eating Bobby's adult kitty food and is okay with that. Of course since he initial bout of diarreah when I first got him, his tummy has been pretty much un-upsettable!
Maybe he's upset about losing his buddies?

  27. How's Romeo doing this morning? Hopefully, he is better after some time just letting his tummy rest.

  28. Also, when kittens lose their littermates, that can upset their little systems. Daisy, my Siamese, used to cry so much when we came back from vacation (earlier post: she yelled at us for one hour for each day that we were gone) that her stomach was upset and she vomited for a day or two afterward.

She would still drink water, and after 24-48 hours, she was fine.

  29. Checking in....How is Romeo??

    Posted 3 years ago by 2bpurring #

  30. Thanks for your concern. Romeo is still not great. Good news, he is alert, purring, adn crying a lot; he wants out of his little room. Last night I got a little baby food and about 6cc of water/ pedialyte in him. Was up 'til 2 am with him. He did vomit overnight and had a tiny bit of diarrhea. Had a tiny amount of baby food this am and maybe two pieces of kibble. I will try to get some more water in him today, if not I'll take him in for sc fluids.
Please keep prayers for my angel. I'm sick with worry.
