Prayers for Romeo

  1. TL, I'm not a vet, but if you're still worried about panleukopenia, the info I looked up about it last night said that fever and lethargy appear before the vomiting starts. From that information, it doesn't seem likely that Romeo has that particular illness.

  2. Thanks Leeny, you're right. Because he is not really worse today (just not that much better), we are much relieved that it is likely not distemper, plus his siblings are still doing great, thank God.

  3. I hope that he settles down and starts eating again. I agree that some of it is he is upset over being separated from his siblings. Lots of holding and reassurance and little sips of pedialyte will help greatly, I am sure.

  23. A kitten named Romeo! Well of course he was going to be a sentimental little boy who had to be meow-dramatic when his brothers and sisters went away. But now he knows he's secure and loved. This is a story with a beautiful ending...but for now it's just getting started. I can't wait to watch him grow and get long and sleek. Romeo, you be good to your mom and aunties, you had us all in a frazzle!

    Dear Romeo,
Congratulations on your new meowmy -- and please don't every scare her or us like that again. Stay in good health and the good graces of your devoted family, especially Mickey. Whatever would they do without you?!

  26. Thank you for welcoming my baby Romeo. He is doing so well that I'm joining my family for a few days away to celebtrate my youngest son's 13th birthday. Our kitty sitter came by yesterday to meet Romeo and make sure he gets his meds. He will sleep with Mickey at night, Mickey has become an awesome Daddy. Romeo follows him everywhere and most importantly, he eats when Mickey eats, and that's many times a day. All the adult kitty food is up high so that Romeo can only get to his baby food. Mickey is very happy because I'm not sure what he likes best, baby kitties or baby kitty food!
Have a great weekend everyone. Look for Romeo photos next week.
