  11. Susie, you did a fine job, don't beat yourself up about it....of course she's ticked, again, she got caught, she's in a cage, surgery, she's in a cage, she got caught ~ pride is hurt, she's in a cage...what female likes being confined and not able to rule her roost! She may be quite skittish for a bit after her release but she will also remember where she goes to eat...

Leeny, the story in the paper sounds like the person just wanted someone to 'pat her on the head and say what a wonderful job she had done rescuing the kittens' but she didn't want the real responsibility of taking care of them, poor lady and the kitten had the audicity to scratch her too....poor kitten :(

  12. Karin...Thank You so much for putting up the pics of Hopper & Ms. Hissy.

As you all can see...they don't look too tough now that they're in my space. I feel worse for Hopper because he's had to endure the cage for several weeks. He has mellowed down a whole lot,but still quite feral. He lets me brush him & at times if I talk to him & move slow,he lets me scritch him around the head & ears. He's getting to know for the first time what love feels like & he digs it. Of course, that will change quickly when I let him back out. lol.

Hissy...well...she just keeps hissing. lol. She keeps making a mess out of her cage w/the cat litter & the kibble. I hope she eats alittle more tonight after I go to bed (it's like she doesn't want anyone to see her eat). She still hasn't eaten enuf to satisfy me. And even tho I wanted to keep her inside for a good week to be sure she's healed enuf,I probably will let her out tomorrow & just hope she'll be okay.

Her capture seems to have traumatized her dau. Prettygirl. Pretty has gone into hiding & I've only seen her home once to eat. I think if I let her out, that will bring Prettygirl back out & then I can finally let Hopper Butt out. He's so much cleaner than he was when I first caught him. Being kept in away from all the rolling in the dirt & fighting. lol.

  13. Susie, I'm so glad to hear the great news! Siameezer (now Hissy) is finally, finally fixed!! WOO HOO!! You've done the impossible!

I'm pretty sure Hissy is primarily PO'd due to her continued captivity, especially since she was so elusive for so long. Is Prettygirl already fixed? If so, then is there a reason to keep Hissy still confined? I'm pretty sure her eating and drinking habits will become more normal once she's no longer confined.

Again, I'm so happy to hear the news! How absolutely, utterly FANTASTIC!

  14. At least Hopper is letting you scritch him, that is a vast improvement and the hormones are probably lowering drastically in his system by now which helps too. Mz. Hissy is just a female who is po'd!

  15. anncetera...Prettygirl is spayed. I'm going to go ahead & let Hissy out tomorrow morning. Then I'll wait a day or 2 & then let Hopper out.

I tested Hissy's right hook earlier using a small pole into the cage. Wow. She's back to her sassy Siamese self. lol.
