  1. We are raising the kittens of a feral cat. Four of the kittens are eating, drinking, and using the litter box. One little kitten is smaller and not as active as the others. We've been supplementing it's food and working very hard to help it. I've tested hearing/sight and all seems well. This morning it was up on it's legs like the others and able to run but then it seems weak again. I would appreciate anyone's input to help. Thank you

  2. If at all possible, get this little baby to the vet ASAP! may just be the runt and do things slower, but it could be more serious.

  3. Sometimes the runt just isn't strong enough to push his way through the rest of the kittens and get enough food. In which case, he will be smaller and slower. But 2BP was right, take him to the vet just to make sure he's okay.

  6. We have had so much fun with these babies. We had a huge blizzard just before they were born and I was able to use kitty treats to lure their mama into the house and close the door behind her. Of course, we didn't know what she was going to do but we were lucky and within two days her babies arrived and she's stayed with them. We have two cats who are very curious but mama kitty that we call Lucy (that's Lucky without a K) is extremely defensive. We'll follow up after the doc sees little "Whisper."

  9. Update, little Whisper had a good day today. No apparent problems detected by the vet so we are hopeful that our efforts will be rewarded with good health. Today I was pleased to find Whisper eating a small amount of wet food on his/her own and also later found the little one using the litter box. That was uplifting and have seen some time spent nursing although I can tell that mama Lucy is ready to close the snack bar. We won't give up and we want to thank everyone for their help. What a wonderful site this is so we can all share our experiences and help each other.
