Hi all!
Oscar goes in for his second vet visit in a few days for his booster jab, which should be fun. ;-) He's doing well, getting so big and bringing much joy to my partner and I. (He's suddenly started randomly bouncing around the room for no apparent reason, making chirping noises, argh, so adorable!)
He's been good, eating mostly dry food but the occasional wet food treat, has become very talkative whenever he sees the fridge door open! He had a few sores around his neck just before his first vet visit, but after some flea treatment, those have all disappeared. Must have been a few rogue bugs! He also had his first worming treatment, but never did see any worms since. Touch wood.
He did develop a little bump on one of his back toe-nails, which ended up turning hard and crusty. I've been keeping an eye on it, as it hasn't bothered him at all - and today when checking it out, it literally fell off in my hand. His nailbed looks a little raw, but seems fine and not sore - but I'm worried as that particular nail is not seeming to retract. I'm going to the vet over the weekend anyway, so will check him out again then.
On an unrelated note, he also has a bit of a cut on one his front paw-pad that has begun to crust over too. I'm wondering if maybe our litter is too hard on his feet, and it's causing slices in his foot? I'm thinking I should experiment with a different brand.
Kitty love to all! xo
