   Hi KM

   I don't know how else to reach you, not having a kitten of my own to post, but I am concerned that we have a troll coming on the board the last few days going by the handle "snorgler". The comments are not sexist, racist, or violently offensive, but they are negative, and clearly this person is on the board only to provoke a response from the other posters. The Daily Kitten is the one place on the 'net where EVERYONE only says lovely, nice things about unbelievably lovely, cute things! This daily dose of double-positive shouldn't be imperilled by some sad person who gets their jollies from the attention they garner upsetting others. I like to read the thread from top to bottom, and catching negativity like snorgler's is a real downer. Please consider banning this user/IP from posting, cheers.

   I have seen Snorgler on the Daily Kitten and have been really disturbed by the comments. That is the only place where Snorgler posts, so we haven't been able to do a "report" from a chat site. The comments are definitely bothersome.

   I don't think it's absolutely clear that snorgler is a troll, even if the comments are distasteful. So I'll do nothing for the moment, but I'll keep an eye out.

   One thing, though: there are four times as many posts reacting to snorgler as there are by snorgler originally. So if snorgler is a troll, it's working.

   If you think someone is trolling, ignore them.

    What a loser !!
    Having got that off my chest, I will now ignore him/her, as the Kittenmaster advises. Much the best way to deal with bullies.

    I have been disturbed by this person too. I've wondered if this person was being ironic, you know, like seeing a picture of a very tubby cat and making a comment about the poor thing not being fed enough. But this person has consistently made negative comments, so I doubt that they are just trying to be "funny".

    I am glad I am not the only one disturbed by this person. I think these type of people who make these type of comments are mean, hard people who does not have anything better to do with their lives. I for one am glad I was taught right, to have manners and be civil with people!! I am not perfect nor will I ever be. I just happen to be a decent and happy person. Especially when I am dealing with my kitties!!! Both of which have me wrapped around that little paw and they know it.

    Rubia..I love that you try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I do that too...but some people prove our patience to be unwarranted. It's sad that they spoil a nice thing for so many. It's been so hard for me to ignore trolls but for a lack of anything I can do to stop them...I've learned to not respond...it gives them an appearance of no appearance at all. We can't let them bait us.

    Snorgler it seems to me is walking the line of trolling. He/she is just a naysayer. They seem to know exactly how far to push it, and he/she wants to see how long they can get away with it. But KM is right, don't feed the trolls.

    They can create names at will---but I'm glad snorgler is a thing of the past---didn't see today's post before it was deleted, but I can imagine, based on past postings.
