  1. I reported another troll on another thread, 2B and CW. I think I know which one you are talking about. Sometimes our troll detectors really do work!

  4. And I think we'll hear from this "new" troll that the kitten passed away .

What kind of sorry excuse for a human indulges in this kind of idiocy? (Whoops, sorry, I guess I just answered by own question.)

  5. Gullible is often my middle name, but I actually don't think this latest one is a troll - time will tell. I could get to my vets & back in half an hour, and if money were tight, could look for internet help first...especially if I'd been lurking say, and seen the kind of advice that can be obtained from this site... like I said, we shall see.

  6. There's no way I would be tapping on a keyboard when I could be calling a vet and getting a helpless animal to safety and medication.

Maybe I am too wary, but Hemingway put it well: "Never confuse action with movement."

  7. Well, we have been burned and once burned you fear the fire.

Now I am the poster child for cynicism. However, the reason for my attitude is that I hate bitter disappointments. Since I prefer pleasant surprises, I view the world with a jaundiced eye.

On the other hand, I don't want to cause undue pain and strife among the innocent. Therefore, I treat all pleas for help as though genuine and not bait to snag me into some sick game.

Time will tell if there is baiting and the good and experienced advice even given to the pranksters may aide someone too timid to approach on their own for fear of being perceived as an undesirable presence.

If the gottcha game becomes apparent, well, I have held my emotional investment at bay. If the person is genuine, I have a new internet friend and an unexpected warm fuzzy.

And, as it has been made manifest before, HEAVEN help you if you hurt my friends because I can be meaner than a P.O'd diamondback!

  8. Thanks, honey. You are always able to put things into perspective! Your instincts are always on point.

  9. Thank you Catless and Kitten Master! And everybody else! I'm not on much these days and there are a lot of new people, so I was trying to be tolerant. But comments like those we can do well without!

  10. No thanks, necessary Emma in PA. I am just another socially inept techie geek who functions better over the net. It is easier for me to ignore the trolls because I know how ADD they really are (another life; another time I could have been one) and if you bore them they leave. Also I figure anyone who wanders in on the heels of one who managed to raise hackles enough to start seeing cracks in the armor will be hissed at.

Human Nature....Laughter is so much more relaxing than tears, and the trolls hate it. Take it from a recovering type A personality with more hobbies than there are hours in the day even if you don't take time out for sleep.

  11. We have another imposter, troll, whatever you want to call them on here today, someone who is making fun of us, and enjoying the reaction immensely. Please, please, everyone don't react at all. It only feeds the monster.
