Amazingly I didn't have nightmares the other night when you first mentioned the wedgies.

Hi Deb, MS & Metza! It's about 1:00 PM here and I'm trying to work up the energy to go into town to look for some books.
This past week has been pretty miserable for me. First I came down with some sort of weird flu about 10 days ago (fever, chills, achy, etc.), and then on Tuesday I had surgery on my wrist for carpal tunnel. My wrist is doing pretty well, but I don't feel as if the flu is 100% gone, I have a splitting headache and I am only just getting over the side effects of the codeine I was taking for my wrist. I had booked the week off from work to recover from the surgery, but there was some critical, urgent stuff going on, and so - in the end - I really did not get the time off at all. :-(
BUT - today is Caturday and I am really looking forward to these 2 days where I can just rest and do what I want! YAY!!! :-D

MS, good thing too, can you imagine the wedgie nightmares....ewwww!!! How did the family do with the funeral and afterwards?
Rubia, ouch!!! I had surgery two years ago on my wrist for arthritis and that was bad enough. Hope that you heal quickly.

Gosh Rubia, you have had a terrible week. sounds like you really need some pampering and some kitties to cuddle with. Please feel free to get Shadz through the worm hole if you would like.

They are all doing well Deb, mainly because her passing was so peaceful and brought an end to her pain and sadness. I think we have seen Mr MS's brother and sister more this last week than we normally do in a year, and we all live within a 15 minute drive of each other. I have suggested that we all get together every few months for a meal and play some board games. They used to play games with their Mum so that will bring back good memories.

MS - My condolences on the passing of Mr MS's mother. It is always sad and painful to lose a parent, but if the parent had been suffering and in pain, it helps so much to know that they are now at peace. {{{HUGS}}}
I would love to have Shadz for a cuddle! Tikka is hiding under the bed taking her afternoon nap, so I could definitely use some extra kitty love!

One Shadz coming through the worm hole, she is warm from sleeping in front of the fireplace.

Watch out Rubia, Shadz likes to sleep upside down now that she is used to her bean bag in front of the fireplace.

MS, I do hope that they do come to play games, visit and just be closer since they live so close to you.

Rubia, check my avatar pic. Then imagine her upside down flaunting her belly and that's what she is like at the moment. She isn't really fierce looking it's just the 'V' marking on her head that gives that impression. When it comes to Mr MS's family I'll just make sure they come for dinner and games.

We have some nice fluffy cushions for Shadz to stretch out on! We do have a new fireplace that she could sleep in front of, but given that it is summer here now (supposedly, although it looks like winter today!), she would probably prefer we don't turn it on! I know Shadz is a sweetie. I think its funny how often cats appear very cranky in pics! I think we often disturb them from their naps, so we get the half-open eyes giving the evil look that says 'Leave me alone! Can't you see I'm sleeping?'

Well It is almost 1am here, so it's high time I turned the computer off, nudged Mr MS into life and we went upstairs to bed. Definitely a night for a hot water bottle as it is 14C(57F) inside away from the warmth of the fire.
Have a wonderful Pacific NW meeting KK,KW and Tigger, lots of photos too.
Goodnight Deb, goodnight Rubia, just pop Shadz back when you have done cuddling and she will hop back into her bean bag by the fire, which we will stoke up for her. Yeah, she is one spoilt cat.Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #
