  1. Well KW, Tigger and I (and Bob and Shadz) met up in Seattle today! We arranged to meet outside the Pike Place Market by the fish throwers. The market was very crowded but with the help of Tigger wearing a TDK sticker and me holding Bob's photo we met without problem! Bob is such an international ambassador.

Bob and Shadz then had their photos taken at various places - GD if Bob smells a bit fishy its because one of the fish market vendors put him in a tray of crawdaddies! We got a photo! He also had an incident with a fire engine. Photos may take awhile to appear as I didn't bring the cable for my camera (go on, Bobbi, laugh!) and KW had a one-use camera that needs the photos developing. She may get hers posted before me.

Anyway the meeting was a big success. Tigger behaved and didn't throw Spam and I didn't throw wetas.

Linda, we have photos of KW with George also!

  5. We had a wonderful visit!! I got to meet KK's hubby and MiniKK as well as the famous George (who is very cute in person). Also got to meet the in-laws who are very nice. None of us were at a loss for words. I wish we'd had a longer visit, but hope that we can do this again. Tigger is tall! :D

  6. Aw c'mon, I'm not THAT tall! OK, comparatively speaking, maybe... (I'm 6'1 LOL)
Yes indeed,we had a wonderful time. The weather could not have been more perfect! It was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, 80 degrees by late afternoon with approx. 20% humidity. I think I got more than my fair share of sun quotient for the day as I'm pretty fair-skinned. My arms and face are reddish as I type this at 11:40pm. :) We had a great lunch at a cool Southern Cajun/French restaurant by the Market. Spent most of the afternoon by the waterfront and in the Market stalls window shopping. What a treat to meet you, Cindy & Kate! I was MOST impressed. :)

  7. Tigger, you are tall, KK only just managed to fit your head in the pxt photo she sent me of you and KW. If you are sunburnt then KK must be too, don't let the freckles fool you, they may make her look tanned but between them she(and I) is fair-skinned too. So glad you all had such a wonderful day and I'm envious as can be.

  13. We forgot to tell about the kilts, Tigger!! We noticed two men walking in the crowd that were wearing kilts! They were solid black kilts (no plaid). I thought Bob might like his photo taken with them so I asked them where they'd gotten them. I asked them why they were wearing them. They said just for fun. I chickened out on asking for a photo. Now we are going to have to find Bobby a little kilt to wear! :D

And "no," Ange. I didn't ask them what they were wearing underneath them! lol

  17. That is so great that you got to all meet up. Sounds like a good time was had by all of you. I wish I could have been there but finances and other obligations wouldn't have allowed it at this time. Here is hoping to meet you all another time. Glad you enjoyed your day together.

Tigger you are as tall as my cousins who are all 6'2 or 6'1. Since I am only 5'5", you are tall to me as well.

  20. I had a great Garfield sweatshirt once - with "I'm not overweight, I'm undertall" on it. Says it all really!!!

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  21. Or, "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy!" I have seen that one and we used to tell that to our Bombalurina who maybe had eaten just a little bit too much in her lifetime. She was sooo fluffy!

  22. I was going to say that Shelley & I were the shorties of the bunch (both at 5'2")but cleary, MCW has us both beat.

Sounds like you all had fun at your meet-up. Can't wait for pics as well.

My mom is only 5'1. My Dad was 6'4. Our family doctor had predicted
that I'd grow taller than he. Alas and just as well I stopped at 6'1.5 when I was 19.

  27. Happy to hear that KK, KW & Tigger met up in Seattle. Very cool...anxiously awaiting the pics. :D Wish I had been more financially able to make the trip but it was definitely out of the question. Thank you KW & Tigger for being such warm and gracious ambassadors for our neck of the woods. Hope KK and family are packing up many wonderful memories to take home to NZ.

  28. MS - I didn't bring the camera cable on purpose as i knew it would be a pain to try and upload them here on someone else's dial up PC. No senior moment involved. I guess Tigger was tall but as I've been hanging out with a workmate who is 6' 4" I didn't really notice.

  29. This is a blast just to read. Imagine how much fun it was to be there. Wish you hadn't chickened out on the kilts! What is it about those things that turns any man magically, instantly attractive?

Posted 3 years ago by lisaeylau #

  30. "It's colled a "kilt" becooze thuts whut happined to th' lahst poor sap who colled it a dress!" LOL (KK & KW thought it was funny...sheesh) ;p
