  1. PM, I just looked at Pipa and nearly fainted. First, she's stunning. Second, she is my sweet Jasmine (Jazz) reincarnated. I'm printing the photo to send to my mom. I'm so glad both of you are okay.

Why on earth was her first family going to put her down? Jazz's story is similar. A breeder brought her to my vet to be put down--she was a runt and had *barely* mismatched pupils.

  2. Thank you! Yes Pipa is very beautiful and her deep blue eyes are a 'little' crosseyed which multiplies her 'cute' factor.
She was going to be put down because her first owner was a lady that had about twenty something cats in a rented appt. and animals were not allowed. She had to get the cats adopted or they were going to the pound.
    Now she is family...

  3. Awwwww, PM, I'm so glad Miss Pipa is fine! I worried last night that I had freaked you out completely with the article I posted. But better safe than sorry, right?
Hugs to you and Pretty Pipa - and Melon, too!

  4. Yay for Pipa! Don't you EVER worry your mama like that again! I am glad that you both came through your ordeal with no lasting effects PM.

  5. So glad Pipa is doing okay, as well as you. I'm sure Pipa and Melon will miss being out, but now that Pipa found an escape route, she's sure to try again. I'm sure you've smothered them in love and kisses to remind them both how wonderful it is to be safe and with you.

  6. The sight of Pipa on Catster took my breath away. She looks so much like by darling Daisy, gone these ten years to the Bridge.

And Pipa is not really cross-eyed, she's just got a very INTENSE gaze.

Beautiful creature -- so much like her meowmy.

  7. Hi PM! I just got caught up on this post! WHEW! I'm so glad you found your precious little girl and all has turned out well!

What a shame that your kitties won't be able to enjoy the patio anymore - although I don't blame you one bit for not letting them out there anymore! As you say, now that Pipa has figured out her escape route, she would continue to use it! Perhaps you can look into getting some sort of enclosure for the patio?

Our kitties certainly love to keep us on our toes! Tikka gave us a little scare the other day. We hadn't seen her for about 8 hours; she didn't show up in the late afternoon when she usually wants food, and she didn't come when we called (and called and called!). Lately she has been sleeping under the futon in the room I'm using as an office, and I was even specifically calling to her in there - but I didn't hear one single peep out of her. FINALLY I was working and I thought I heard just the slightest little sigh... So I thought, OK - I'll look under the futon. I started moving stuff so I could get at it (OK - the room is a total disaster area - don't ask!!!), and when I looked behind a box before moving it, guess who I found snoozing away?!?! She'd been there the whole time! Of course, little does she know that she missed out on a tin of tuna! Cheeky little monkey!!! :-D

  8. PM, I am so happy you found Pipa and she is back home where she belongs. It is so terrifying trying to find them and such a relief when you find them okay. The ear scratch is almost worth it--I said almost LOL. She was probably exhausted and a little overheated when you got her back inside. The TDK white light does miraculous things, no?

  16. Pipa...Pipa...How is our sweet Pipa and her mum?

Posted 3 years ago by Mittens #

  17. Hola!

Well Pipa is fine. I told her to think about what she did and she is grounded from the terrace. She is eating and drinking and being her usual loud self so I am happy!
How do you know you are a crazy cat lady? I think by the times you take your cats to the vet... I love my new vet. She is really against over medicating, she told me to feed Pipa white fish for a couple of days in case her stomach was upset and gave me some natural drops to add to the water to relax her a bit... She wears this blue vet coat filled with cat drawings. When I showed her my ear scar she showed me hers! (she has a cat too!)
    So all is well!

Thank you all for being there for me.

  18. Morning PMS, love those initials!!! Glad that Ms. Pipa is doing fine, that your new vet sounds really nice and has a good sense about kitty creatures, and has comparable scars along with not being afraid to show them to you :)

  19. I'm glad all is "back to normal", PM! And it's great that you have such a wonderful vet.
