  1. Do NOT watch this video if you care not for the fate of God's creatures at the hands of humanity. Definitely not for the squeamish or complacent.

Ooops...sorry guys, I'm working on the link right now!!
    brb. :(

I found a useful related link to the aforementioned aborted video post.
What's even better is this site lets you get involved in doing something about this. I'm signing up.

  2. Tigger I watched the videos and am also very concerned about the over abundance of plastics used in this country. I hate plastic bags period. One time in So. Ca. we saw a seagull outside of McDonald's with a plastic cup lid stuck on his beak. This meant he couldn't even open his mouth to eat. I was so upset. Jeff thought if he could catch him or approach him he could help but of course the bird flew away. It was heartbreaking to see. I signed.

  3. Tigger, you would not believe the number of Wal-Mart bags that hang on the "fauna" here after a wind storm. Which would be like every day. To Wal-Mart's credit, they have deposit boxes for bags located in many areas outside. But, if people don't care enough....

I signed. Please come for chocolate cream pie.

  4. 6 Months ago, I purchased the reusable grocery "totes", where I shop, 99 cents each. (They look like beach bags). They are wonderful!!! Not only do they hold more, but they stay put in the trunk.....without the the roll over factor of the plastic bags. Mine have a cardboard reinforcement in the bottom so the bag always stays upright. It's a shame that the plastic "dilemma" is now just getting its due limelight in the negativities caused to our plant and wildlife. Maybe as the saying goes "day late, dollar short".

  5. I bought the reusable bags too and I refuse bags when I can carry something out myself. It's horrible how we have polluted the earth w/ plastic garbage.

  6. They have those bags for sale at my grocery store. My problem is that I will put off shopping for groceries until we have nothing left in the house but ice cubes and cat food. Then I'll go to the store and end up with 15 bags of groceries. If you shop daily, or even weekly, the green bags make sense. But what about people like me?

  7. WWM..... Why not purchase 6 reusable totes, and keep them in the car. If when you shop, you may need to suppliment with plastic or paper for the over flow. That sometimes happens to me, as I do not stick to my list......stores love impulse buyers!! And you may find that 6 totes would equal 15 plastic bags of groceries. I was amazed how much the totes would hold.....And with you being in such good shape, the added weight per bag should be no problem!!!!
