  3. Hi Miu, it is only 3:30pm in the afternoon here! and it is terribly hot. I'm inside with the A/C cranked up trying to stay cool. I'm thinking of fixing me some lemonade and baking a cake, if I can decide what flavor! :) How are you today and your kitties?

  4. Hi Renee! Kitties have been cranky :( (Miska and Hipsu fought today) and I took a long nap in the afternoon. Now I don't feel like sleeping even though I know it would be wise.

  5. Mmmm... Lemonade and fresh cake...

  6. OOH, a nap sounds good! I hardly ever sleep much. Is it cool weather there or is it summer time? Maybe, you need to give the kitties some catnip to calm them down! lol I don't think there is such a thing as too much sleep!

  7. Hello Miu and Renee! Been uploading new picts to muliply and now waiting on a video!

  8. I can't decide what flavor of cake, orange, black cherry, blackberry or raspberry, plus, there's always chocolate but for some reason when it is hot weather, I crave fruity flavors. To drink I have lemonade, strawberry lemonade or fruit punch.

  13. Hi! Might not be anybody left. It's 4:12 pm here so not quite martini time. And boy, is it ever hot! But I won't complain because the past two weeks were unseasonably cool.

  15. Hi, Cheri! Actually we just got home from the grocery store where we went to buy some sushi for dinner. It's too hot to cook. Besides, we had ordered a movie from Netflix (the ancient movie Sayonara because I read the book on vacation) and planned a "Japanese movie night". Only the mail hasn't come yet and so we don't have our movie! :-(

  16. We are so far having a cool and rainy summer here. Perhaps you could send some sunshine here. Please?

Posted 3 years ago by miu #

  17. Wow, if I could I would gladly exchange some sun for some rain, Miu! And why are you up so late????

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  18. WWM: I have read the book. Never seen that movie. Tell me whether you like it when the postman has delivered it.

Posted 3 years ago by miu #

  19. I can remember seeing the movie years ago, Miu. Red Buttons (do you know who he is?) played the part of the American GI. And Marlon Brando was the officer. I remember that I cried and cried. So, why do I want to watch it again????

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  20. WWM: LOL! I had to google for Red Buttons.

  21. Hi Miu & WWM! Whew...I wouldn't mind trading some of my sunshine here for a few clouds & some drizzle...*hope the weather Gods don't hold that against me for all the whining I did all winter*!!!!! :)

  22. "Worlds apart...theirs was the daring love affair violating every rule, every custom, every centuries-old belief!" Now I want to see it!

  23. Karenopa: I am happy to give you some "drizzle". *devilish grin*

Posted 3 years ago by miu #

  24. Wow! How'd you do that? It's actually running down my face!!!! *oops...that's perspiration*...:)

Posted 3 years ago by Karenopa #

  25. Yay - the mail just came and the movie is here!!! So....It's Japanese Movie Night!!!!!

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. Miu, I even remember the song.... (humming to tune up.....)

    Sayonara, Japanese goodbye
Whisper Sayonara and you mustn't cry.....

    Oh, no... *runs off whimpering*

  27. Awwwwww..Someone pass WWM a tissue. Sad movies always make me cry too! Oh no...now I have that old song in my head...OMG...can't remember the girl's name who sang it........I think my brain cells are melting in this heat...Judy??? Argh!

Posted 3 years ago by Karenopa #

  28. LOL, Karenopa! And thanks for the tissue because I'm pretty sure that I'll be needing it! I'll watch and see who sang the song because I can't remember, either. It wasn't Connie Francis, was it?
