  1. Evening all! Come on over to the Night Shift - we may have a surprise guest tonight! OK - I'm lying - just trying to attract business.

Free food, free booze, free massages with Sven! Intelligent and witty conversation!

Today Mom and I had a girls date! We went and saw Journey to the center of the earth 3d, and then had chicken nachos for lunch yummy!

  5. haaaahaaa tomatoes yes salsa no! I love their salsa at Sinaloa's eat tons of it! They only use california vine ripened tomatoes!

The chicken nachos have a thin layer of refried beans, to hold th echips down then cover it with cheese and shredded seasoned chicken breast meat! The I top it with sourcream and salsa!

  6. hey cheri, how goes it? Any news yet on mobile homes decided upon? Hey no monopolizing Sven!

  7. Stop you're making me hungry. We have barely any food in the house. Need to go shopping this afternoon. Mind you after all those donuts on holiday I probably should be on a soup-only diet for the rest of the winter!

Hi Cheri - I'll take Sven when you're done. Sitting cramped on an airplane for 12 hours has knotted up some muscles.

  9. I should go and snuggle with Dara for awhile - and make some soup for lunch. Will be back later with an update on Dara after we see the vet this afternoon.

  11. What's wrong with a soup only diet KK? That is all I eat for lunch in winter, vegetable soup with lentils and barley, mmmm. Airy made her first pot of it last night and she reckons it is as good as mine, I taught the girl well. Anyone here? So it's just me and my soup then.

  12. Hi MS! I love soup too, especially when it's cold outside.

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Your soup sounds yummy, MS. I like lentil soup along with other types. Lentil and barley soup is very healthy.

  14. Hi ya CM, just saw what you are doing tomorrow. It's so long since I had an ultrasound, do you still have to drink heaps of fluids before you go along? you could tell who was having the ultrasound by the way they were jiggling and crossing their legs way back then.

    Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  15. yep. I think its 12 ounces or 16..something like that. Such a pain in the butt. I have to pee at the OBGYN appt then I have to put it back in for the ultrasound :)

  16. I am off to bed everyone. It's been a long day and I had a horrible headache filled night last night so I am very tired.
I hope you have a great day MS and KK and everyone else have a great evening!

  17. Oh gee, sounds uncomfortable.

Posted 3 years ago by SylMiaFelixMomma #

  18. Good grief! I just converted how much we had to drink into ounces, 2L/67oz!!!! No wonder we crossed our legs and ran for the ladies once the ultrasound was over. I think it's the fastest you'll ever see a heavily pregnant woman move.

  19. Goodnight CM, hope you get rid of that headache.

  20. Hi, Karin and MS!

Goodnight, CM. Sweet dreams. I hope the head feels better.

  21. Are you finding ways to stay cool, Karin? How do your kits do when it gets hot?

Posted 3 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  22. Hi SMM and KW, I had a long look at the quilt thread this morning KW. WOW, those quilts were amazing. I'm going to show them to Mum, maybe she'll will start another quilt.

    Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. They are amazing quilts! I wish I could have seen more of them. I just hit a wall with sensory overload and gave up after the first several hundred!

How long has it been since your mum made a quilt?

Posted 3 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

  24. Too be honest I don't know, she built up a stock pile of uncompleted quilts, still had to be quilted or the batting done or something else to just finish off, but I'd say it's been at least two years since she has had anything resembling a quilt hanging around. She still goes off to her quilt group every month but I'm wondering just what they do there now. She takes nothing with her really but returns with all sorts of jokes and stories. time for me to go to Mums place, we have to go and buy fruit and veges so I can make another 4L of soup for my lunches this week. I'll find out just how long it has been since she finished her last quilt.

  25. Tell her hello for me and that I enjoyed meeting KK! :)

  26. It is nice and cool here now, KW. Temps were around 74 degrees which is fine by me. Good night CM. Sweet Dreams.

  27. Hi all, I'd like to take a quilt making class. Maybe this winter. I'm making a job change this fall that will give me real people hours (8 to 4:30) so I won't have to get up at 4AM. I always liked taking adult education classes and haven't been able to because of work schedules for several years now so I am excited at the prospect of doing so and I've wanted to do a quilt class. :)

  28. Hi Sandi. I will KW. Bye all, see you later on NS.

    Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. I want to brag. I'm famous (almost) for my soups. I even had my own logo at the Food Court--

Posted 3 years ago by Cat talk rules #

  30. Glad you are staying cool, Karin! We hit 97 degrees here in Oregon today.

Hi, Sandi. I'd love to hear more about your famous soups. Do you have a personal favorite?

I hope you have a chance to sign up for a quilting class with your new fall schedule. How nice to not have to get up at 4am!!
