  4. LV, when you find that recipe for chili stew I'd like it. Sounds good. I love to make stews and soups and its the best way I know to eat veggies. I can cook other things, though. I'd be in a lot of trouble if I couldn't

  5. I make lasagna ahead of time, just don't cook it. Then when someone is coming I just pop it in the oven and put together a salad and some crusty bread. This way, no mess to clean up (since the mess was the day I put the lasagna together) and if I screw something up, someone isn't standing there hungry waiting to eat.

  8. I am, CW but I haven't put much on for a while. Right now I am re reading Tony Hillerman reservation books. I started with the first one and have been reading them in the order in which they were written. I like to do that sometimes when the characters are on going in an authors books

  10. Yes, it makes sense to read books in order so you can keep the storyline straight.

  12. The books are very readable even if you just read them one at a time or pick one at random but it is fun to see the growth. I recently read one of Robert Parkers really early Spencer books and it was fun to see how he has changed and improved with time.

  18. I don't think I've read any of those, LV. I like a good romance but admittedly prefer mysteries but like romance with the mystery, I guess. I know what you mean about growing out of some authors that has happened to me but I always have fond memories of my favorites
